would it surprise you that one of the first things i thought of when i heard about the pooholes signing was 'i want to get extra innings again for next season' after not having it the previous 2?

Sure.  Lake Monsters are scary. 

It's still the Cowboys.   People identify with the star on the helmet.   Packers are indentified with Lombardi or even Favre.   Raiders were identified by Al Davis and/or the fans.   So, as a team, it's the Cowboys.

Just a little.   With ESPN and the MLB Network, you can see a lot of games.   I passed on Extra Innings last year and still felt like I spent too much time watching baseball.

does it surpise you that now espn and mlb network are now pushing to get as many anaheim games as allowed for this upcoming season? i figure it'll still be worth having to see other teams that i wouldn't otherwise.

Nope.  I think I watched about 4 Yankee and/or Red Sux games a week during April/May last year on those two networks.   I expect that might be diminished by The Anaheim of Los Angeles in the great state of California Angels games this year.
