once owners give me there list next year of keepers a new list will be generated. two things can happen. If they missed that year due to injury or whatever they can be placed on IR but need to be on the roster the following year. if they retire from a team they will be placed back in the pool of available players. They are by no means blacklisted and will be eligible to draft. so once John McGraw retires/not needed by owner he will be able to be drafted by you in the 1895 season since he retired in 1903 and not available for the team drafting in 1903.

after each season I will do the following:

1. Collect list of returning owners
2. Collect list of keepers for each team 18min if not enough 200K's up to 2 can be selected.
3. Put new list of keepers removing all players not kept
4. Set up draft order lowest winning % to highest %
5. Draft players
6. Update full list of players taken
7. Season begins

I've gotten a lot of response and it seems the concensus is that people are cool with the DH. So we will add the DH to all leagues. thanks

FWIW, I think we could probably break the draft up into several drafts. For the most part, I'm not worried about any players 20 years before/after my season.

I for one hate the DH, even in the sim.

Personally, the league started w/o it. If implemented, it should be voted on before next season. If majority votes for it, then fine.

But implementing it on 'a lot of response' w/o seeing any 'Yays' or 'Nays' isn't cool. IMHO.

I think, if we add a DH, that should only be at most, like real baseball with a DH and without a DH for the two leagues. I'm sure a lot of owners planned on not having a DH, myself included. It wouldn't be fair to them if they had to all of a sudden take a DH when the signed up for it without.



Having Edgar Martinez, perhaps the greatest DH of all time, I of course am going to vote for my team being able to take advantage of him, but I do not think all 24 owners need to have a DH.



Perhaps everyone should vote whether or not to include a DH, and then, if the majority think we should have a DH, we can have volunteers to be in the DH league. Just a thought.

I'm not gonna split the divisions they are already set. we will have a full vote then and majority will rule. It's all or none. I got a bunch of e-mails already with responses.
