Flames Thread: Scoring is overrated Topic

Ugly game last night.. though we are always weak on the second night our offense went suddenly cold and we generated no chances... got lucky too... should have been 4-1, but Prust had the best timed fight ever and actually benefited from an early whistle... Thankfully we got an easy one for our next matchup and some time to regroup.. but if we play that bad against Luongo... it won't be so easy

Luongo's 86% save will give you guys a chance to compete, along with numerous injuries..but if we start Raycroft you might as well scalp your tickets

trying to keep the shots within 30 will be a moral victory

Take as many perimeter shots as you want.. they count... not going to argue that

You don't have any key injuries... Luongo is healthy

You won't score 2 on Lu tonight so it would be plenty. It would be pretty difficult for any team to get more than 2 on Lu tonight. With the players we have out we are going to clamp down on defence. The team knows this; they've been there and done it before. We won't give up much more than a sniff...and then we will capitalize on your mistakes to get the 4+.

Sounds like a bet???

If the Flames score less than 2 and the Canucks score 4+ on the Flames, you can't mention, refer to, the Flames/Flame players till December, vice versa for me with the Canucks if what you predict comes true.

I would do teams, but I am not even using the ones I currently have.

I am also in Vancouver during the last Olympic weekend, we can bet beers. Ha

I disagree. Luongo plays best when he's been playing a lot, and this schedule is screwing the Canucks. He hasn't really got going this season. He'll probably be cold tonight and great tomorrow. I wish they were playing the Flames tomorrow. Possible Raycroft sighting after Luongo softies tonight.

The way it's going (Sedin injury and all), the Flames could be teased another month or so into thinking they're division contenders instead of resigning themselves to the fate of Oiler fans.

The division is in our pocket, Vancouver will be lucky to make the playoffs... of course they could still win the league... all depends on Luigi
