I think I'll switch over to Briggs, also in Detroit.

How are we looking on division alignments? I'm not really in love with playing in Atlanta. Mainly because I picked it so long ago that I don't even remember what my strategy was on chosing Fulton County. If a division is looking out of whack and a move will make it look better, let me know and I'll switch to a stadium in that region.

Briggs is Tiger Stadium under a different name, so it's not available.

Sounds good. Once we get all the parks finalized I can come up with an alignment and I'll let you know if something fits better than Atlanta.

I'm staying in Bennett then.

OK, Bennett Park and Tiger/Briggs Stadium were on the exact same site, but they're technically different parks, so that'll be ok if it's where you want to be. The baseball history geek in me wants a completely different location, but I can live with it, especially if it's where you really wanna be. I'll keep you in Bennett.

Harrelson - any interest in Comerica perhaps?

If dannino is ok with the parity idea for a 20 team league, I count ten votes so far in favor (counting my own). If one or more other owners post in favor of it, we'll consider it official.

If you missed it, here was mike's idea:

Parity Suggestion:

In a league like this, it is very difficult for those drafting in the bottom half of round one to compete with those who draft all time greats at the top of the round.

To have a more equal distribution of talent in the first year, I suggest having the SAME DRAFT ORDER IN ROUNDS TWO AND THREE (the opposite order of round one) and alternating 1-24, 24-1, 1-24, etc. starting with round four.

I have been in a couple leagues where this has produced more contending teams starting in year one. In leagues that alternate every round, it seems like the league champion always comes from one of the first few to draft because nobody can overcome the Walter Johnsons and Babe Ruths that get drafted first.

I like the parity idea.

I have a question about the draft in year two.

First how many keepers? 25 or 29?

Is the AAA draft during the regular draft or is it held after everyone gets their 25 man roster filled. If I were to keep 24 players, would would I have picks in Rd 1-5 or just round 1 and then have a AAA draft.

As many or as few keepers as you want. Theoretically, someone COULD have 29 keepers if they want to hold on to every single player on their roster as well as their four AAA players. That would require that all of them were available to come back. Possible, but not likely.

AAA draft will always be after the regular draft. So in the scenario you're describing, you would only have a pick in Round 1, and then participate in the AAA after.

That is how I figured it would go but I just wanted clarification. Thanks!

Still looking for two, if anyone knows some owners that would be into this, send 'em our way.
