Bunts by George Will ???? anybody read it? Just picked it up at a used bookstore
Haven't read that one...anyone else
It is kind of blah - it is a collection of Will's articles/essays on baseball. Individually they are pretty solid, but there is a lot of repetition in the subject matter.

I just finished The Machine and definitely enjoyed it.

Yes, blah is the right word, I picked it up years ago read it and forgot about it until these posts - very forgettable, but if you got it cheap, well nothing wrong with that.

Tony Kornheiser once titled a book "I'm back for more cash" which is basically the same reason this book was done, to make a little bread - nothing wroing with that certainly, but not a reason to read a book

I'm about 30% thru the new Willie Mays book by James Hirsch and it's very good so far. It's full of stuff I had no idea about, including how Jackie Robinson had no use for Mays during the civil rights stuff.

Do not read "the rise of the bulldogs" about Fresno State in 2008. I am almost finished with it and it is quite boring.
