Tell you what...if this replay costs anyone credits submit a ticket and I'll make up the difference.

I don't play for credits... i play for championships (which I have none)... lol

A 5 dollar credit is going to make up for them getting screwed? They play less games (less fun), don't get as big of a prestige bump, they don't have the potential of getting more reward points/credits, get less recruiting money. Nice to see some sort of effort, but giving me the amount I would earned anyways hardly seems like it makes up for the mess. I'm just glad I am not in this world.

I have to say I'm a little surprised that no one has a problem with games played with incorrect ratings. That seemed like a no-brainer to me to replay them. Next time I'll leave them as is I guess.

Even before you reset them everyone was against it - even the coaches who lost. That should have been a big clue to leave them alone. There is no way to adjust it back? You will **** off more people by making them re-play them then just leaving them alone.

The games will be replayed, the previous results are gone now.

rankings need to be reset also

Might want to clear the news headlines too.

as someone who made the final four I guess I dont have a problem with the games being run again, if its true that some teams lost a lot more points than their opponents.

I originally thought that all teams were affected equally, i e all lost about 7 points, but if some teams really lost 20 points and the only way to fix it is to re-run all the games then I am ok with it.

I cant imagine how ****** I would be if my team magically lost 20 points and then lost in the sweet sixteen or elite eight.

I think it is better to have an active CS, as opposed to one that doesn't care. so props to Seble for at least caring enough to get it right, even if it mean re-simming.

I agree about Seble. The guy has had quite a lot of work related stress lately, it would have been so easy to sweep this under the rug.

that's really cool of you. As someone who lost in the 16, I almost feel like either way I lose. My opponent graciously told me I could adjust my gameplan, but if I beat him (I won't), it won't taste very sweet.

Should've read the whole thread before I replied.

to what degree/what overall percent were the ratings wrong? seems like it would be quite small in the grand scheme. whereas taking wins away from coaches deep in the NT, that doesnt seem so small...

I skimmed all four pages but maybe I missed it.

Nothing happened in Knight to change the code or engine we were using. There was no significant event beyond just running the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games.

Why was this errant practice code in there? Why didn't it take effect earlier? Why only now? Were these games being run using the new engine? I thought the worlds had to roll over first.

As a coach of a team that lost in the Elite 8 by 3 points in overtime, I am perplexed as to how I should feel. I missed all of this drama yesterday since I paid no attention to Knight once I finished reading the losing results. I have no idea on whether my team was playing at a disadvantage or advantage. But I do know Seble is trying to do what is best for the integrity of the game and I will respect whatever decision he comes to. He could of been slimey and said the loss in player ratings was insignificant to the result of the games but instead he felt it better to be honest at the cost of being blasted. I for one will accept my wins or losses in the replayed games without dispute and without asterisk.
