Thank you, Dave.

ConansDad took the 1988 Red Sox. 12 rivals are in not counting me, meaning we have 13 there and will have 30 teams. I am aggressively marketing to Yankees fans. There are still the 1983 Orioles (corrected), 1984 Tigers, 1990 Red Sox, and 2008 Rays among the rivals.

While I believe that $100M is a cap that allows every team to compete, especially in a twist league, image is everything as Andre Agassi once said. Therefore, I am going to realign as an incentive to people to get this league filled, particularly by Yankees fans.

Barring any serious objections, all of the Bush 1 era (1989-92) Yankees teams will be moved to the 4-team AL West. This makes it guaranteed that at least 1 will make the playoffs, and mathetically gives those teams' owners the best chance at winning a division.

I may have 2 takers. Once they commit, the rest will fall into place.

The important thing to remember particularly with the 1989-92 teams is that while they sucked in real life, many of those players had really good seasons elsewhere. 1983 Yanks would've had a wild card if those existed and 1984 Yanks just like everyone else in the AL East were left in the dust by the Tigers wire to wire that season but could compete and had a great second half as I recall.

As many of you know the best seasons for some of the more frequently used players, I will not re-state them here, but am spelling out the roster possibilities to show that all of these teams can contend. In the case of 1989-92, one of them will make it out of the AL West.

if you have two would that mean you would go with a 24 team league
1/15/2011 9:12 AM
We would need 12 Yankee teams and 12 rival teams for that. If I go 24, I would need 2 Yankee teams and switch Conansdad over to 1984 Yanks. I will get a league number in the next 4 days but not today. Let's try for 30 for now. I think putting all the 1989-92 teams in 1 division will help a lot.

ill take the 90 sox  but not based on your description of them  cause that description blows and just cause the american league is retarded and allows the DH doesnt mean you should too.  Managing a game with a dh is like pulling your pud with no explosion at the end
1/15/2011 1:19 PM
Whatever, LOL. In Stein 2, I had a vote for DH and it was unanimous yes. Thanks for joining, Metsfan, and good luck.
