Pick Six 1954-1975 draft Topic

I am not uptight about the next round going very slowly with the holiday weekend.  Many of us have things to do.  No hurry

The average is 7.2 and i have 2 players.......not good!

Of my 18 picks:

Seven of them were only chosen by one other person
Four of them were only chosen by two other people.

I could easily have as many 13 players right now.  Instead I have 2.

Spotsell - Grats on Maris in the third round, what a steal!

Yogi Berra was the steal of the 3d round
5/27/2011 2:49 PM
Starge was the steal to me.

Thought I'd be able to steal Tito Francona last round but Teal_Leo thought the same thing...

Some other big names lasting until the 3rd round and then ending up with nobody - Ken Boyer, Mike Schmidt, Rocky Colavito, Phil Niekro

Yeah thanks finn. Always fascinating seeing who bumps you off of guys. I've noticed I often bump picks with elduro. It is very tough to outwit 23 other owners.

Remember guys, these suggestions are worth whatever you say, but
I have been using a formula in picking my players & it is something like this:

1, I pick 3 players & figure 3 other guys will pick them too, so I discard them, 2.  I pick 4 other players & figure 2 of them will be picked by 3-4 other guys, so 3. I then pick 5 players & know that only 2 of them will also be picked by 2-3 other guys & 2 others by 1-3 other guys so at this pt I have only selected 3 players cleanly. Now, 4, I am close to getting myself upset, so I nearly start over & pick 9 new players knowing that 3 are also being picked by 2 other guys & 3 by 2-3 guys leaving me a chance that 5 may be clear for me to select from without a problem but I would then have 2 extra players if no problems so I discard 1 that I know others will pick & l I figure others will not pick leaving me with possible 3 undouble picked and thus a possible clean draft for the round of 6.  Yet, as you can see, I'm not doing quite this well in each round of this process.  At any rate, this might give you an alternate method of trying to select players for you next round?

Sounds more like Politicianfred than Poetfred.
