good points gary.....I just figured with the rodmans, wallaces and chamberlains of the world gone, I wasn't going to worry to much about D in this league and focus on rebounding and efg. We'll see what happens.

Hell I can't figure out D anymore anyway. I got 70D centers and 90D pgs in other leagues getting hooped on.

plus a ton of the quality pf/c took huge D cuts including Lee and Bosh and even Chandler to a lesser degree. So if you have 2 quality 70+ D pf/c in a blacklist league more power to ya!

maybe mr schrempf will play SF? you can always draft a couple semi-stud PF eligible players in rd 6
yeah that was my thinking too

not sure what I'll get in the SF round...this covers me either way

even if he has to play PF, he's respectable in the rebounding department(especially in the season I'm eyeing for him)

either way, I have good EFG going with Detlef & Unseld

My thinking that with so many of the great defenders blacklisted, defense becomes even more valuable. Anybody manages to draft a team with 3 75+ defenders, I'm sure it will show over the course of a whole season.

It is an incontrovertible fact that I will regret taking Marvin Barnes.  I needed the usage, just missed out on Blake Griffin, and he has nice rebounding numbers.  The PFs and TOs will drive me bats.

used to watch him at cobo hall when i was a kid. remember when he came to town..."bad news", the original bad-boy... the girls in the seats screaming for him like he was paul mcartney or somebody. haha

As scud mentioned in the draft thread, one man's trash is another's treasure. These basketball drafts always seem to be a great example of that.

The guy I almost drafted instead of Gallatin never got picked up and I'd say most people probably would have been put off by Gallatin's shooting as well.

I almost hopped in the wayback machine at PF to take a uhm, 100 defender from the 70's. (Hope that isn't saying too much). In the end though, I really like taking guys like Webber early as they do a little of everything well (Not ft's in his case) as it keeps you from getting backed into a corner with later picks.

It seems to me though that there is more concensus on the most desirable PG's than any other position. The guys blacklisted and the guys taken early in the PG go, and go pretty early, in every draft.

your 100 defender has horrendous efg and high usage if he's who Im thinking of

I thought that pick was "bad news"...lol

I am happy that I am picking 1st in the SF round.  I guess it doesn't take a professor to figure out my pick.

let me adjust my confusatron ray and say: not necessarily

There's one PG that really seems to have fallen out of favour since I was last playing. I don't think he was even drafted in the last version with no blacklist.
