No min AB (or IP) requirement, (so yes you can use player X with 31 AB)

One of the two years I am using my player is not WIS eligible but has10 abs.  So I must use his other year as my active year.  Are both assumptions correct?  Can I use the non-WIS eligible year as one of my years and then I must use the other year for my non-twistable veteran year.

Correct.

You can use a non-wis eligble year as one of the two years, but that means you must roster the other year.

Here's an easy way to remember the point total for the Pitching & Defense theme.  If you have a fielding/range mixture of an A and a B, one of the two must have a "+".  For example, A+/B is legal, A/B+ is legal, B+/A is legal, B/A+ is legal.  B+/A- is not legal.  All combinations of two A's are legal (A-/A-, A/A, etc.).

has there been a set day for roster deadlines?  and How long til the league #s will be out so we can enter our teams into the corosponding leagues?

League are getting created this at this very moment.  I've already got a few league numbers.  I hope to get all league numbers by the weekend.  Remember, that all the designated commissioners have to build their teams, plus I need to check them before the leagues can be created.

The first roster deadline will be mid July (exact date TBD).

Man, I'm trying to finish up my last team (120M) and I just can't get everybody I want to fit into the cap.  Then as I'm re-reading the rules, I notice that I need four .350+ hitters (in addition to the two .400 hitters).  I was thinking two .350+ hitters.  Doh!

The hard part for me in that league is trying to guess how everyone else will approach it so I can build my pitching staff.  Will everyone go for the bare minimum requirements? Will people spend on defense?  Does high average mean low walks and HR, meaning I can afford pitchers with higher BB/9 and HR/9?  I keep battling myself on how much to spend on each.

Well, I managed to finish my 120M team... a complete overhaul as I ended up changing 3 hitters and my entire pitching staff...

In order to get the quality (and quantity) of pitching I wanted, I had to downgrade from a couple of defensive studs (there just aren't that many A+++ guys who also hit .350).   I sure hope I drafted enough innings.

I have 15 league numbers so far... 9 more to go.

I may be overthinking it, but I think this post nails the whole point of the WISC - it's not just picking the best team for any given theme in a vacuum...it's picking the best team given what you expect everyone else to do.  The game theory here is intense.

I was feeling confident I had enough innings in the 120M theme until I reread the rules and saw what ballparks were allowed. At this cap, and with these hitters, the difference between hitters and pitchers parks seems to be massive. Time to think again about who to draft.

Sorry I'm one of the slower to get my teams done in the two leagues I'm commissioning.  I've had time demands related to the high-school graduation of my first-born.  Ceremony was last night, family visitors will start thinning out, etc., so I shouldn't be too much longer now.

My oldest son just graduated high school as well.

To me this is what makes this game so much fun, Even though I'm not good like you guys, It's a huge numbers game followed by a huge game of chess.  I LOVE IT.

Same here.  But it didn't affect my team-building at all... mainly because my team-building is haphazard AND I didn't have any relatives actually staying over.

But I reserve the right to use it as an excuse when I miss Round Two again.
