and you could take his best year of 60 homeruns. he was typically a right fielder but with the twist he could go in center.

ok with the twist he could go to center. so can any outfielder play any outfield position as long as all my pirates are 1B 2B and RF and sox 3B SS and LF and so on? i mean i want all of one team on right side and then other on left side but making sure you have a RF in RF is a bit of a press when you have some teams with guys from 1900 unable to find real position and being able to stick them there. I think each outfield spot should be open by team ( any redsox could play LF) vs a LF in LF

yes thats the way were going to go about doing it i have sitemails for 3 or 4 different guys with the same position. as long as your players from one team are on the same . and players must be in there PRIMARY position. of, is of.  no ruth at 1b , no mantle at 3rd etc

ok so i could have tris speaker (CF) in LF because OF is OF

I thinlk it willl be to hard tp police if a regular CF plays LF or RF

Ok, now I'm confused. We're no longer using LF, CF, and RF designations? Any OF can play any OF position no matter what they played primarily in real life?

And I'm really confused about how you are defining "twisting" a player. For instance, to me "twisting" means you can take a player and use a season of that player that was not on your team. For instance, I was planning on using Joe Morgan at 2b for my Astros on the right side. And I was planning on “twisting” him to use a Cincinnati Reds season. Is that wrong?

Frozen thats what i think is right about twist. but im just concerned about the OF cuz  like brave said its too hard to police that. I think twist is normal twist. im just waiting on the OF rule

let me first apologize for all the confusion. first league wasnt thought through enough.   for twisting.. you can use morgans red season. if he appeared in an astros jersey at one point and your using him at second you can take a year he was with cincy. But only 1 player on your whole 25 man roster may be twisted.  not one for each of the three. and as outfield goes--- an Outfielder is now an Outfielder... just if you have ted williams playing left field your 3b and ss must be red sox.

My team for example---- lad stl and balt.

Dodgers pitching i have Brett Butler in center field.. Koufax my number 1... piazza catching
orioles Ripken JR ss--- Melvin Mora 3b and Cy Seymore in left--- cy seymour was an oriole at one point.. but im using a reds season of his thats my one twisted player
1b Stan Musial... 2b Rogers Hornsby--- then im platooning Larry Walker (season with cards only (171 ab) with jerry mumpreys another cardinal player. hope this makes it easier. again i apologize

Mainly because old outfielders its too hard to find what position they played i have searched numerous websites and nothing is clear cut

BUT say you take someone who played of and 1b in the same season. THEN he must be at the position he played more games at.

Remember now with twists anything goes. they can be pre 1900 . only them . and no more twists.
