If I have the math right:

If USC/Cal hits the over:  The Vets win and Up and Comer's go to tribal (on tiebreaks)

If USC/Cal hits the under:  The Rookie's win and the MVP's go to tribal

Correct.

Barring an offensive outburst in the 4th quarter, it's looking more like the latter.

Playing it safe might just work out!!!!!!! We missed pretty bad on the First TB...whoops my bad Rooks. After Air Force ran all over ND I thought for sure they would get at least 270-300 on SDSU. Not even close...

What's funny, is we were discussing $350 on USC and $150 on San Diego, so we would have won even without playing it safe.  Anyways, we made the right call as we figured someone would have to lose $.  Looks like the 'Rookies' know how to play

Yea but it is the first challenge, so after some debating it made sense to go a little safe at first. And with that USC TD we are  500 easy.
