I'm actually going to change my pick from Pedro to Craig Biggio
I really dont like this rule of letting people change their pick.  I don't want to feel like I am ranting, but I really don't like changing the rules or players after they were set.  It messes with your teams that you are trying to build and research.  It messes with peoples picks.  It messes with stuff already set.

I have to agree with Prof... I was highly considering swapping my pick back to Pedro otherwise just to keep me from having to rethink everything again.

Also I think Eckersley is a HOFer as of 2004 .

I agree with profcake, but if that's the rule then we will have to live with it.  hopefully, someone picks pedro now, so it doesnt mess with what many of us have started to do.  One question, when do picks become "final"?  its hard enough to re-tool midstream, i'd hate to have it happen when we are trying to select our hall of famer, then have to re-build all over again...

I don't see a problem with making changes up until the last pick is made.  I am surprised people are building lineups without knowing all the players.  I would love it for somebody to put Pedro back in (he has a number of usable seasons).  There are a couple of stiffs that shouldn't be playing in a 120M cap.

I have no problem keep Pedro in there.  I didn't even think about it that it would screw up rosters.  I just kind of assumed someone else would re select Pedro anyway.

Is that official?  Keep Pedro?

I'd like to throw in a guy who should be in the Hall... Bob Caruthers - SP

Caruthers doesn't have a pitcher season less than $1M.
The rule says that the player has to have a season under $1M which Caruthers does.  I think he adds a wrinkle that will help diversify the teams.  Some can use him as a pitcher, some as a hitter and some can use his < $1M season.  So which is it?  Is he in or out?

This strikes me as a little similar to the Franchise tournament last year where the cap is going to be so high relative to the available talent with so many similar teams that there's going to be enormous parity and the smallest advantages in team management will make the difference. I'm not sure whether that's a bug or a feature; AlleyViper and I did win that tournament, after all.
It should be noted that, while we won, it came right down to the 59th minute of the 11th hour.  I can't help but feel that we won less because of management/team construction and more because of good luck.

On the other hand, my Indians team from that tournament was hugely successful in every league it was in and made two ToC finals so maybe I'm just underestimating us.

Schwarze posted on page 1 I think which directly applies:

For players who are hitters and pitchers, you can choose which to use... but he must completely fulfill the appropriate eligibility requirements (as a hitter or as a pitcher).

So if Bob Caruthers has only a season that falls under $1m then I think you'd have to submit him as a hitter for whatever position he was playing.  I guess that wouldn't prevent anyone from drafting him and using him as a pitcher however?

Right, as long as he fulfills the other requirements as a hitter (I haven't checked)

Thanks.  Next time it would be nice to have something like that added right into the rules.  I'll replace Caruthers shortly.
