16. ashamael - Charles Barkley, Steve Nash, Clifford Ray, Charlie Edge,
ash pulls another rabbit out of his hat. charlie edge is a perfect compliment to this team, like the magician's mini-skirted assistant. keep your eyes on her slender legs while the magician does his slight of hand theatrics under your nose. defense has now entered the picture. I'm sure ash is gonna go with barkley's highest usage season, which I think is around 25%, excluding the partial 27% (sf friendly) season. combine that with nash's 2nd highest costly season (that superb 3 pt% version) and we're looking at hoodini's hoodwinks. there's lot's of flexibility here. can go small with a sg, or big with a 3rd scorer at the 3. either way, there's enough of everything so far (including a deceptive amount of boards) to build another contender. you suck, ash. I just can't figure out what team will not be in the playoffs at this point.
Enjoying the commentary, bud!
To me, there are five possible Chuck seasons to use:
87-88 - this is the one you thought was 25% usage; it's 26.7%. His most expensive season, but it is a monster.
89-90 - 24% usage and less of a monster than the 87-88, but much cleaner in regards to turnovers & fouls.
88-89 - kind of a mix between the two, best rebounder of the three. I would almost always go one or the other over it.
86-87 - the 40% creb season. Stupid high fouls & tovs, but viable with the right build around it. Also cheaper than the above.
90-91 - the bargain Chuck. $7.5m for 2500 minutes of 29% usage, 57% fg% monster at 100% sf effectiveness. Lighter on boards, but still a monster for a 3.
I drafted with the thought that I was going to be shelling out a clean $10m for Chuck's 87-88 season, so that's what I'll likely use.
