No. Last email I have is on July 31st which is a receipt of my payment for the season.

Did you get the SM that the "new" owner was willing to let you have your "old" team back?

See? We both learned something. You learned that you need to have a passing interest in the world even when it's not filled. And I'm pretty sure I learned you're English.

FWIW, I understand your position. You didn't understand that you could be removed awaiting rollover for being absent. You've had a team since Day 1 of the world and you feel it's unfair that anyone could take it from you.

I hope I've made my position clear. One owner is not more important than 30.

Here's where I have an issue. You were removed. You asked for your team back. Your request was granted. You knew the world was waiting for you. You couldn't take 30 seconds to re-up over the course of three days. I'm assuming it was because you were on vacation/busy upon return. So you waited to check in when it was convenient to you. We have a word for that in the colonies: Selfish.
You talk about me not learning from mistakes, yet you're still absolving yourself of all blame. You are infuriating. I have learned that a 14-day rule pointlessly counts for rolling time despite a team being reserved. There was nothing else for me to learn but a minor technicality in an internet game. You could learn more than the fact that I am English. I have at no point said I am more important than 31 other owners and I have at no point intended to be "selfish" as you say from those mildly xenophobic waters that you approached there. That is you, again, making assumptions - just like the assumptions that you made when you highlighted my "absence". Learn not to look at things so negatively all of the time.

Constantly your posts above were riddled with arrogance. I think I said "big swinging forum d**k" up there somewhere. Your posts stink of perceived superiority. Because you post in this forum all of the time you clearly feel like it is your territory and you rule the roost here. Your use of childish one liners - "Sounds like we moved on." - "Sounds like it's not your team anymore" - and then other frequent posters wading in as well to back you with equally childish behaviour. How can you suggest that I think that I am more important than others when carry yourself like that in here?

If anyone in the league found my behaviour to be selfish, I apologise. My only defence is my busy life - and despite my business growing in the 8.5 years I have been playing, I have always found time for this game as I enjoy it immensely. I already apologised for bringing this to the forum before sending a site mail to the current owner first. That was, with hindsight, wrong of me.

I wish I could be so blindly happy with my behaviour as you are when I am so in the wrong.
I'm honestly not sure what "blame" I should accept. Trying to make sure all owners are active before rollover? How horrible of me.

You're not the first to call me arrogant. Here or in the real world. I prefer "highly confident" but whatever. As for the "childish one liners", I don't like to use a lot of words when a few will do. But, if you would, please attribute my childish one liners to me. I don't want to take credit for others.

It was selfish. The fact that you keep brushing it away with "busy life" is meaningless. You're probably not the only business owner here. Unlikely that you're the only one with a busy life. 30 seconds is all it took. 30 bloody seconds.

I'm always pretty happy with myself. Sadly, I'm not wrong here.

Here's the thing:

Something went wrong in Doubleday. Don't know what, don't care what. But I do know how to successfully run a HBD world. I was helping the commissioner even though he didn't ask. I was attempting to make Doubleday better. Do you think you've done that?
11/17/2016 12:39 PM
mce, while I understand where you are coming from, I don't see how you can really blame Mike. He just wanted a world he is in to roll with as few complications as possible. You can't really blame him for that. As everyone has mentioned, worlds can take a LONG time to roll. I would hate for a world I'm in to take any longer than it has to. He didn't remove you. He didn't tell the commissioner to remove you. All he did was bring a possible delay to the commish's attention. At that point it was the commish who contacted WiS and it was WiS that removed you from the world.
11/17/2016 12:58 PM
"But why did WifS remove you? They hate to remove owners from worlds. No matter what I did, no matter what the commish did, WifS has final say. If you did nothing wrong, why did WifS remove you?"

This is classic. Mike knows damn well commish has final say, as evidenced by my removal from the same world. In a private world, it's purely commissioner discretion - no reason is required.

From Admin: "The HBD world you joined was private. As with any private HBD world, the commissioner of that world has final say on who may join and not join during the offseason. If requested to remove an owner who the commissioner does not wish to be a part of the world, we will do so."

As for you rnce, there are a couple things you need to realize here:

1) Doubleday is a dysfunctional world. That's why it takes so long to fill and that's why Mike and his merry men decided to join in the first place.

2) Mike is all about himself and his own interests. And sadly Admin and many owners work very hard to appease him. It's very well known on this site that he's a selfish pr*ck that will do anything to get his way - including NARCing and lying to disparage the reputation of other owners. He keeps saying "I'm not the commish", yet he took it upon himself to jump on the issue and start the process of having you replaced. This is what Mike does. Then he'll blame you to hide the fact that he's an egotistical POS.

3) buffalo_rob is a weak commissioner. I was in Doubleday a few weeks ago when Mike started sh*t with me in TC. I took the discussion to the forums to not pollute the world. I broke no rules, I posted nothing in world chat - but buffalo_rob kicked me out because of Mike's crying and threats to leave. As evidenced by my quote above, you being removed was completely up to buffalo_rob. And since he's wrapped around Mike's finger, he did what Mike told him to do.

My advice to you - you can do better. It sucks that 31 seasons of hard work is gone, but there are WAY better worlds that don't have spineless weasels as commissioners and aren't full of arrogant pr*cks that hijack proceedings to flex their muscles and get their own way.
11/17/2016 1:32 PM (edited)
LOL. Did you get a vacation under your other name? That's classic.

The commish doesn't have final say on RETURNING owners. As rnce stated, he broke no rules. He just quit showing up. WifS used their guidelines, 14 days, to remove him.

1. I'm sure neither of us know why DD have 13 openings. My guess is rnce doesn't think it's dysfunctional. But thanks for your input. Facts aren't your thing.

2. I was looking out for the world's well-being. I don't know rnce so I have no ax to grind. I've said, despite our disagreement, that I wouldn't complain if he was allowed back. I even suggested, in this thread, how he should go about it. Feel free to check the world chat if you like.

3. You joined the world after several days of arguing with me in the forums. Stevie Wonder could see your intentions. I inquired about a player, you blew up. I informed the commish that you are a troublemaker(you blew up two WC on your way out of other worlds) and that I had no intention of sharing a world with you. He made the right decision as you quickly blew up the TWC thread(then had the exchange removed. Is that why you got a banning?).

Bitter much? You're a joke.

11/17/2016 1:18 PM
Or did you get banned for all the redlines? Either way, I told you it would happen. Maybe listen to me next time.

The chat after you joined and was removed:
MikeT23 51s 10/28/2016 9:32 AM Or not. ADMIN must have purged every exchange between us in that thread. Nonetheless, it was ugly. Don't need that in the WC.
MikeT23 51s 10/28/2016 9:26 AM Sorry, folks. I rejected him from participating in the TWC. If you want to know why, go to the HBD forum. That wasn't going to work. He was the only rejection so that shouldn't happen again. Thanks for understanding.
buffalo_rob Monarchs 10/28/2016 9:05 AM Now we can get back to the business at hand. It is a new day.
jt2xTTU Prune Pickers 10/28/2016 9:01 AM I guess we won't be one of the "low drama" worlds
tmantom3285 Green Mountain Boys 10/27/2016 11:56 PM A world you seem to only have joined to cause issues?
MikeT23 51s 10/27/2016 10:36 PM Bump in the road. There have been bigger.
buffalo_rob Monarchs 10/27/2016 10:17 PM What isn't going to work out?
jt2xTTU Prune Pickers 10/27/2016 10:11 PM Aw man, this isn't going to work out, is it?
buffalo_rob Monarchs 10/27/2016 8:13 PM Welcome jtpsops

That's some weird timing. We're arguing for a couple of days and you suddenly decide to join a world with 4 openings where you know we're doing the TWC. Surely you didn't intend to be disruptive, right?
11/17/2016 1:32 PM
OK let me clear this up. I am not going to waste my time with everything that has been written. rnce had been in Doubleday since day 1. We got down to 2 teams left to fill so I sent him and ray2cool a site mail warning them to log in so they would not miss the off season transactions. This was the first site mail. Now realize rnce had not signed in since 10/16/16.

I am commissioner of Doubleday. We have one opening left to fill and there is one owner (rnce) who has not signed in since 10/16/16. rnce has been in Doubleday since day one and it is his only team. What is your protocol if we fill and he hasn't signed in? Could we have a surrogate owner run the team and give it back if he shows up? Just trying to be proactive.

Thanks,
Rob

I never asked for you to be removed. I sent a ticket asking how we would proceed if we filled and you did not sign in. we were down to one opening and close to filling. Then you were removed and we were back to 2 openings.

I asked the person with your team to move over to the other open team. Give me a little time to make this happen.

Rob

I will tell him he can move back if he chooses this afternoon.

Rob
Seriously we have been trying to fill so why would I deny him? At one point it was only his team waiting to fill and 3 days went by. He only contacted me after his team filled. It is my opinion he played us. He sat back and watched the league from the outside. He never opened the site mails until his team filled. Once he saw it fill he complained. WIS can verify all my sitemails and TC's I sent to the owner that took over his team.

While he doesn't need confirmation, BR kept me informed of the whole unopened sitemails as they happened. A TC I sent him:
MikeT23 11/13/2016 7:28 PM
You hate to lose LT owners but some guys want to manipulate start times. Maybe they have a vacation planned or, as I mentioned, want to space worlds. Or, sometimes, they're just busy. Either way, 30 owners are waiting.

------------------------------------------------------

From what rnce posted here, that's what happened.
11/17/2016 6:51 PM
The biggest problem buffalo_rob is that you're letting the inmates run the asylum. If it wasn't for a certain owner, you wouldn't have removed me from the world and you wouldn't have even considered replacing rnce. You might as well hand over commish duties, because it doesn't even sound like you're thinking for yourself anymore.
11/17/2016 8:31 PM
I'm getting the feeling that rnce is the kind of person who would throw a brick through somebody's window, and then blame the homeowner for leaving the brick right out there, available to anybody, practically begging to be thrown through the window.

"I didn't screw up. It's somebody else's fault!"
