I agree with this totally as well. It would definitely help retain new users. They should also get rid of the 2 day new coach sign up period, since the new coach sign up period. That would speed the game up, and give WIS more revenue.

Spud - are you okay? For real. Is your life so horrible that you need to come on the forums and just make everyone else around you become as miserable as you? Seriously man, get some help.
That wasn't even a good post for background noise.
None of your posts are any good for background noise.

The posts you make are like hearing someone have diarrhea after a hard night of tequila and cheap and terrible tacos.

Dang. We all agree. Now, let's crush that ee problem.

I am so tempted to redline the hell out of your for that. Keep you EE **** in your EE threads. Thanks in advance.

And, if this turns into an EE bitchfest, I will break out the report button. This thread will be swimming in red.

Finger on the trigger...

FWIW, I don't expect anyone who's been playing for the last 8 years, or has hundreds of seasons, to understand. They're in and don't remember the "Let me try this out" days. But the way it's currently set up is not the way to get someone to pay for a 2nd season.
Mike, I 100% understand and 100% agree with you on this. I just wish you and many others would have understood when we were driving this point from the beginning. Not having that first season to F up recruiting means 1 less opportunity to learn how to recruit from the beginning, and 1 more season of disappointment before you finally do understand what you're doing.

I still remember my first recruiting class and the disappointment of signing some scrub, because I was afraid of having a full team of walk ons. I was scared off of all my recruits. Seasons 2 and 3 went better as I learned my lessons, and I signed 2 of the best statistical players ever in the schools history to this date. That was back in season 23 and 24 of Tark. These players got me to a sweet 16 in my 4th season of playing the game.

My point is without the first season to learn recruiting, I would have never built that team, and may have quit out of back to back frustrating seasons with no real progress (season 1 flop and unable to recruit, season 2 flop and don't know how to recruit).

Then you should read the first post. The good reason is there.
Nope, sorry, it's not. You can think your own personal preference is a good reason, but it isn't. And repeating the same thing over and over and over doesn't change that.

A coach with a season of playing learns at least a little about what works, what doesn't, and what makes a useful player. If they're interested, they could even learn from opponents' rosters. Recruiting fresh out of the egg allows none of that.

in spud world, coaches sign up, pay for 5 seasons, watch the SIM recruit for them for 3 seasons and then are allowed to start to play the game in season four?

Responding to spud is pointless. I've kept an open mind. I decided to not jump on the "jump on spud" bandwagon. But this is a common sense suggestion and anyone who disagrees is simply being contrarian for the sake of trolling.

This has nothing to do with playing and learning. I think most understand that. Even spud. It's about playing and STAYING.

You can think your own personal preference is a good reason, but it's just your personal preference. At least I offered reasons for my preference. Here's the flaw in your reasoning, Mike, and you said it yourself --> "This has nothing to do with playing and learning." Do you really think a noob doesn't have to learn?
3/15/2017 2:09 PM
If you play, you learn. The question is, since you seem far too stupid to know or are solely intent on trolling, "How do you get them to play a 2nd season?"

Since I KNOW you won't answer that question, I'll ask another. Are you trolling, stupid or both? It's multiple choice since you didn't do well with the yes/no question.

This post has a rating of , which is below the default threshold.
" 'How do you get them to play a 2nd season?' " Help them learn a bit about the game before you throw them in the recruiting deep end, so their experience isn't as likely to be a disaster.

Now I have a question for you: When you float an idea in RL and it is countered by a reasonable and sensible argument as it is in this thread, are you just as unable to consider a matter from differing viewpoints as you are here? (Your answer, of course, has implications for your success or lack of success running a business.)

Spud has already said he doesn't care if the game dies so he's not really interested in retaining new users.
LOL, thank you KellyAnne Conway.
