There really aren't any pizza shops I think are great here in KC. When I lived in Florida, there was a dive on Hollywood Beach that was awesome but the guy sold out long ago.
Miami, have you tried Johnny Jo's?
I'm get to Overland Park a couple time a year and usually try to hit this place at least once.
No, I haven't but I will now. Before the wife and I moved south in 2005, we lived in the Plaza (a KC neighborhood district for those of you not familiar) maybe three miles east of that pizzeria and never knew it was there. Thanks!

Anyone want to tell any stories to keep this party going?

Where did you meet your significant other?
Still waiting on some good ghost stories. (I don't believe in them, but I love a good story.)
What's the best thing about where you currently live? Or what's the worst thing?

Met my wife at a high school dance. Saw this brunette across the room standing with her friend and decided to take a chance. Went over to her, told her she looked hot and I'd love to dance with her. She said not interested and walked away. Her friend said, "What am I, chopped liver?"
We're married 42 years.

Note: my wife caught me checking on recruiting during my daughter's wedding reception. Got an earful but I did sign a 4 star point guard

Varsity Pizza Syracuse, NY
A hole in the wall joint between 9th and 10th somewhere in the 40's in Manhattan

I met my wife in 1998. She worked summer break at her Uncle's shoe store, where I managed one of the locations. She was playing lacrosse at the University of Toledo...those legs. It was love at first sight. I begged her to go out with me, lol. Dinner at an Italian restaurant, a movie. November 29th will be 16 years of marriage. We have one awesome son, Noah, who will be 10 in November. Our family loves taking cruises, and in 43 days we'll be on our third in three years.

I love pizza. probably my favorite food unless you count ice cream.
but I have a different take on it. I cant tell you the "best" place because I have almost never had pizza I didnt like. Even love the stuff thats been spinning around in the gas station for 3 days and is all crusty and dried up.
Pretty much feel the same way about ice cream. Cant recall too much bad ice cream that ive had. no need for haagendaas or fancy stuff.

and yes i am same with morning routine. almost always check before i really even wake up. Its been a while since i did the 2am check. but used to do that all the time... especially when recruiting was 3 hour intervals
oldave...I love this! As I'm thinking about it I do agree with the notion that there's no bad pizza. I remember the grade school lunch pizza we used to get. Delicious. My son devours pizza any chance he gets and will usually ask me to make him one for dinner a few times a week.
Ice cream? If there's one advantage to living in the Columbus Ohio area is that there's never a shortage of ice cream joints.
Honestly if I could pay $1.25 for high school cafeteria lunch, I'd do it every single day.
School lunch is like $3 now. However, the 7-11 by me has $1 (or maybe $0.750 pepperoni pizza every Tuesday. As a card carrying Italian, I don't often by that pizza but I have partaken now and again.

I live in a pretty Italian-American heavy region, I can literally walk to at least 7 pizza parlors. My favorite local place is Papa's in Robbinsville, NJ (recently moved from Trenton). It is the oldest continuous, pizza joint in the US.

If you like thin crust , DeLorenzo's in Robbinsville ( the old Hudson street location) has a super reputation around here as well. I am not a huge fan. I like Genero's in Hamilton more, it's a knock off but I like it more.

For the deep dish guys, the Corleone pizza at Pizza Grill in Hamilton is solid.

3 dollars?! For real??
It actually costs $37.80 per child.

All but three dollars are state subsidized.
Are school lunches are privatized. It's American capitalism at its best. There is an outside, for profit, company who provides a higher quality service at a reasonable cost while maintaining to guidelines designed to protect the consumer.

There was a big scrum outside in the parking lot at one my uncle's visitations at the funeral home, between family members that was started by a non family member. It was pretty classless but it's pretty funny to reminisce about.

The greatest upset in the history of college basketball. And one helluva 30 for 30.
