also this idea that seble is screwing things up by allowing ab to hop from school to school? even more ridiculous. asking the 1000 mile rule to be respected is fine. but acting like ab90 is pilfering from the community because he likes to hop around, like somehow this is nefarious and underhanded, a scam, and should be banned... i mean come on dude. get a grip.

this is exactly the kind of stuff i was getting at when i was talking about the low population and how this is a for-fun game and should be treated as such.

'TO SEBLE..... IF YOU'RE OK WITH ENABLING ONE USER TO BASICALLY TAKE MONEY AT A RAPID PACE FROM YOUR PRODUCT, WHILE HE ADMITS DOING IT AND RIDES THE COATTAILS OF OTHERS, DUE TO A FLAWED SYSTEM, THEN THERE'S NOTHING TO SEE HERE. BUT IF YOU FEEL IN YOUR GUT THAT IT'S A LITTLE BIT ODD THAT ONE USER TAKES ADVANTAGE OF A FLAWED (AND FIXABLE) HIRING PROCESS, FOR PERSONAL GAIN AND NOT JUST THE JOY OF THE GAME, PLEASE BE OPEN MINDED ABOUT WHAT YOUR COMMUNITY IS TELLING YOU HERE.'

.... good god man, get a grip on yourself!
I've got a firm grip. I personally do not care about "the money" as you stated earlier. I've never bought ONE Amazon gift card in HD in my life.

Point blank, when you play a game, whatever type of game it may be, when something obvious stands out like a sore thumb, it's just weird. Period. It's noticeable. It creates attention. There's no one else doing this. I don't care about the money. I care about how ab90ly, I mean abnormally things are in this game. If this was a pro game, and one particular user finished in last every single season, ALWAYS got the first pick, and somehow never was able to get out of last place the next season, we would all notice that too.

I enjoy playing the same game that everyone else is playing. He plays a different game. I don't know why I need to give examples of how weird this is. It's just weird! It's blatantly obvious to everyone that it's weird. What if there was ONE D1 coach that every season found out not how to lose any EEs and everyone in D1 had to watch it happen season after season? You'd notice it. It would get noticed by all. Now sure, it's somewhat apples to oranges with that comparison. But it's not hard to grasp what I'm saying and why its just odd. The game has a structure. You can't just jump to D1, you gotta go thru something designed to mirror real life A LITTLE BIT. It's pretty well done (although tweaks could be made, that's another story). Lower levels are more forgiving, as it should be. But a coach that switches from top job to top job, every single last season, over and over, why is that not odd?
That is my gripe

My post in all caps to seble was to hopefully get him to look this way. If we fix the loyalty and reputation thing, as you agreed with somewhat, that would solve everything. I do not hate ab90 as a person. I do believe he can win titles every season if he wanted to and played in a manner that basically everyone plays. I do not believe he cheats. None of that!

But job jumping is weird. The end.

Also gil, I think you had asked beachhouse about why the "two teams in one world" is an issue. And i agree with him, and I think sportsbulls as well..... 2 teams in 1 world just shouldn't be allowed at all. It just opens the door for things that don't need to happen.

Also, there's absolutely no reason for two teams in one world, if it's a coach that doesn't already have 10 teams! (One in each world). Just join a different world if another team is something you want!!! Goodness, how difficult is that?!

the 1000 mile rule should be respected

and at least in my experience even if more than 1000 miles apart, admin has taken the position long ago that you cant recruit the same player

years ago in 2.0 I had teams 2500+ miles apart in a world. I made a point of scouting separately for the two teams - and inadvertently overlapped in some effort on an international. Admin said - you can either be punished by giving up a team or by having your rep cut a grade on both teams. I took the rep hit. I believe admin accepted that I did not intend to cheat.

I had way more teams in 2.0 - no longer any world where I have more than one team

the enhanced ease of national recruiting in 3.0 leads me to think that more than one team in a world under common control should simply be ruled out - but whatever - if there is a rule, it should be followed and enforced.

Was that incident discussed on the forum, I seem to remember a scenario such as this in 2.0.

I agree wholeheartedly, there is no reason for the 1,000 mile rule to not be followed and enforced when it is broken. The fact that he gets to play pairs of teams in three different worlds within 1,000 miles of each other (four if you count the pair he recently surrendered in Tark as Sportsbulls pointed out), even for one season, is delayed enforcement at best, with no discernible consequences.

I dont think I brought it to the forum at the time - I think there have been - long ago - some discussions of similar events

I never played 2.0, but I'm against 2 teams in a world in general. Someone could have a D1 Connecticut team, and a D3 cali team. Someone could so easily scout D1 internationals with the D1 resources and with the D3 team FSS internationals (and they'd see the ratings for both teams), and no one would ever know.

I'm not accusing ab of this, but he could have easily had the guy scouted by the D3 team to L4, and then lost a couple guys and had the guy at L2 or something for the D2 team and recruited him. I just think it would be very hard to recruit two teams in the same worlds independently when close together. Like lets say you have guys at L3 for your D3 team based on the strategy you use and you have some of the same of the same guys at L4 for your D2 team. You're not gonna upgrade a guy to L4 for your D3 team you already know is all blues instead of greens. And if you're within 1000 miles of each other, its very likely you're getting some overlap. I just think it sets a bad precedent to let people have teams within 1000 miles.

I will also admit I was one of the people who have reported ab on this before when he had two teams in New York (Stevens Tech. and New York Tech) in Tark. Like cmon, thats just awful. All your recruits have overlap.
I didn’t even recruit on Stevens. Get over it.

Don’t know why I’m defending myself. I’ve got the alpha and omega of WIS saying I’m in the clear on the recruiting, and that I need to drop the teams within 1000 miles or I lose the account if I do it a third time. Easy. Couldn’t care less if I have a second name.

Now that I am regularly cheating, I probably could have come up with a better way to avoid suspicion than using the same name twice. That was shortsighted.

Sarcasm aside, the networks discovered long ago that conspiracies excite the masses far more than the quotidian monotony of the mundane, so it would be absurd of me to expect you to believe me when most of us– delirious at home– are so desperate for entertainment that we’d stick our peckers in a Hoover just to break the boredom. Make this a 12 page thread. Find out if my mother had premarital intercourse with other guys. Let’s see it all.
To be fair, you're the one who created the thread.
That’s actually well done. Nicely played

First of all, lie. Second, that doesn’t matter. It’s the scouting resources that matter.

Another day, another two teams within 1000 miles for ab. Here is his latest, Bluefield St. and New York Tech in Tark.

The Days of our WhatifSports Lives thread summary (half-way to 10 pages):
1. I am too busy to know. (Deflect)
2. I wanted to delete accounts. (Delay)
3. I do not recruit the same players. (Deny)
4. Admin says it is fine. (Discount)
5. The person who reported me is the issue. (Deceive)
6. All those who believe I cheated are conspiracy theorists. (Discredit)

The hypocrisy of reporting someone else recently for cheating and then getting caught. Priceless.

Ab —- Get rid of the teams within 1000 miles. Did you have another account named Hoop_dreams?

For the record, both links show New York Tech here. Unless I can't click correctly

Hard to quit when you add them to your stable of teams almost daily.

Also, for the record, I reopened my ticket with this comment:

Another day, another pairing, this time he has two teams, same division and 765 miles apart: Bluefield State and New York Tech in Tarkanian. For someone who is claiming to reform his team selection to conform with the fair play guidelines, he is struggling.
