Though I understand the frustration some have, frankly, a more regular pace works better with me as I have a full plate in RL. I am monitoring the pace as compared to last season's draft. If I need to set up clock times I will but I won't get to it until this weekend at the earliest.

Yeah it's kinda frustrating. Last pick was at 4:17 pm ET. It's now 9:51 my time and 11:51 ET. Thas a LOT of draftable time missed out on.

If there was a hard clock in effect where an owner CAN be skipped, I think it would
A. Make each pick more important and force an owner to send a proxy list if they think they might be skipped and
B. Keep the draft moving! The 24 hour skip rule is understandable, but if a clock were in effect, we wouldn't EVER have to deal with a 24 hour skip rule!

I know, I know...I'm barkin' up the wrong tree here. There used to be a clock in this league starting either in round 2 or 3 but somewhere in the last 5-10 seasons, that has gone away. I wish you would bring it back pharrop. I understand the "full plate IRL" thing, but really, all you have to do is commit, like, an hour of your time somewhere between getting home from work and going to bed to update the days picks and the different columns on page one. Then you just find ONE other owner who is free during the day more or less, to do the individual page updates.

Hey, it's not my league to run, so do what you want. This kind of delay would never happen in my Decade Draft League though, and we use a clock starting in round 2.

A way to make it go faster is if everybody gave their cell phone number to one person, who could text everyone when they are up. Maybe people don't want to give their personal number up to a username, but if we did it would go faster.

I slowed things up today because I had a guest in from out of town, but if I had gotten a text saying I was up I would have stopped for two minutes and drafted. I just couldn't go check for a sitemail every twenty minutes.

I've got a wild little idea, hear me out... If you find yourself 3 or 5 picks away from being up and know you are going to get pulled away from the screen for a while maybe send a Wishlist of players you would hope to draft in that slot to some other owners - there's a word for it, rhymes with roxy or soxy or foxy. You know something along those lines

Midge I'm not speaking to you in specific, more like everybody - the old ways are the best ways... sometimes - proxy as necessary and sm the next two who are up and on deck should be status quo

For example, I am up in about ten picks, and because of the speed of this draft, I am NOT going to send anyone a proxy list. If things really speed up, anyone can feel free to text me that I am up, and I will pick much quicker than I would if no one did that!

Yeah, I should have sent out a proxy today, but I was expecting my company at 2:00 and they showed up at 1:00 and between 1:00 and 1:30 is when I usually spend some time with this and basically I dropped the ball today. I still think some combination of text messages and proxies would make this go faster.

For the record, if a bunch of us are willing to put our cell phone numbers out there to makes this go faster I will do it. I'm not overly complicated.
