Requiring ID to vote is NOT bad. (WTH doesn't have an ID these days - see earlier list.)
Restricting Parties from handing-out food or water to voters is NOT bad.
Adding an extra early day to vote is NOT bad.
Not mailing absentee ballots to all voters is NOT bad.
You're making a blanket statement about the Bill, when I bet if you broke it down, it has as many "good" things as it does "bad" to most people - except maybe extremists like you and others here..

well, first of all, they weren't liberals actions, they were MLBs actions. MLB is in business to make money. Not to make you, me or anyone else happy. Anyone who thinks the MLB decision was not money driven is fooling themselves.

How is allowing Parties to hand-out food and/or water to voters in line any different than handing them money? It's buying votes. Polling places should be equipped to have water for those voting (either fountains or bottled), and nobody is going to starve waiting to vote.

You're right...maybe the political parties should not give out food and water at polling places. I admit I haven't read the exact wording of the bill, just that it makes it illegal to give water to voters waiting online. If it specifies political parties giving out supplies I have no problem with that. If it just sayys it is illegal to give food or water to waiting voters, I do have an issue with that.

Here's the actual text.

(a) No person shall solicit votes in any manner or by any means or method, nor shall any
person distribute or display any campaign material, nor shall any person give, offer to give,
or participate in the giving of any money or gifts, including, but not limited to, food and
drink, to an elector, nor shall any person solicit signatures for any petition, nor shall any
person, other than election officials discharging their duties, establish or set up any tables
or booths on any day in which ballots are being cast
(1) Within 150 feet of the outer edge of any building within which a polling place is established;
(2) Within any polling place; or
(3) Within 25 feet of any voter standing in line to vote at any polling place."

It doesn't specify political parties. No person, including election officials, can give out water or food. When wait lines can be hours long in some instances (thanks, Republicans), that's a problem.
