Jerry West in SIM is, imo, the equivalent of what they call an "innings eater" in baseball. After being a bit aggressive in Round 3 with Walton, who is going to be giving under 10k minutes total, needed a safe pick in Round 4 & a guard with good defense to balance Nash (and with his usage and his assists can also back up Nash), if I didn't pick West there, I would have been playing catch up the rest of the draft. That said, there were like 10 players I would have preferred to pick.

I thought about him at the 3/4 turn, but decided I didn't need that much usage and needed more boards at the 4 (hence the Parish pick). Definitely good value where you got him.

Real interested to see what happens with your team.

Pretty happy with my team so far. Of course, it's pretty hard to screw up in the first four rounds when you have Lebron. I've gotten five guys who will all fill in the neighborhood of 12,500-14,500 minutes, so plenty of volume, but without feeling like I sacrificed anything in terms of quality production. That should allow me to make some reaches for high-quality, short-minute guys later in the draft. I've also done a pretty good job protecting defense; Lebron and Mutumbo both have 70+ defense every season, and 90+ defense in at least three seasons each, and while Parish and Lowry both have sub-50 def seasons I'll be using, they also have some 70+ defensive seasons too.

The hole that's left in my starting lineup is one I feel pretty confident about filling. I think I'm in good shape on threes, boards, and assists. My main concern right now is that I'm trending pretty high in turnovers, which I'll have to try to account for in the later rounds

I honestly don’t know how much Pau will play or start. I just couldn’t decide what to do at these two spots so just went BPA and decided to figure it out later.

I've always thought Pau was a good value in this format, as long as you can cover for his rebounding. His game is so clean.

My board was decimated between picks. I hope Vucevic isn't a regret.

I feel like i'm walking on the edge of a knife with this draft. trying to be somewhat bold in my picks to avoid my usual 8th - 15th finish. Rondo wasn't very bold, chickened out at the last minute on another direction and decided to take the assists and D

I don’t always open my SMs, but Amerk hasn’t opened his I sent him at 10:30 AM yesterday. Safe to assume he won’t check in until later this afternoon and the then “need a few ‘’minutes’ to pick”.

I can understand one time being surprised by how quickly the draft gets back to you; but after that it's not a surprise anymore, lol
