Click on All Forums above. Scroll down to Sim League Football. Click on Theme Leagues. You'll see the Roll Call/ Draft Election Topic there! Click there and post your draft election.

The Roll Call/ Draft Election thread and 2 more to be created will appear there:

- the Draft itself
- a separate thread for the drafted players and roster population

Makes it easier to splice each of these out, so you aren't jumping all over the place in 1 thread.

Ok cool. We were going to make it a computer team, but you can have them. I just drafted the 1976 Steelers Def and RB Derrick Henry. You can keep them or put them back in the pool and select your own. Glad to have you on board!

Go to the Football Theme Leagues: Click on Live Draft. Post your selections there or just say I'm in for the final team if you want to keep those 2 players.

So if I ban the 1952 Rams defense then someone could take 53-63 or 41-51 but not take 50-60 that has a banned year? Also, the bubbles don't overlap?

Correct. 52 would be off the board. You would have to select a bubble on either side as you stated. No overlap of years. No year designation requirement within the 11 year bubble selected.

You post that you want the 66-76 Cowboys OL. Done. And you pick whatever year you want in that bubble in meeting the 75 mil cap. No one else gets any year from the 66-76 Cowboys OL. They could only select outside of that established bubble with 55-65 or 77-87.

Just a note going forward, I think if you are going to make changes to the draft or rules, you should post a poll and let everyone vote. I'm personally not monitoring pages of discussion to see what's going on.
I personally think keeping it a simple snake draft is the best way to go, but I'll roll with what you're doing. I just think having bubbles for years and then banning players is a bit overkill. We all have to work with the same cap so I don't see how those things are really beneficial to anyone. Just my two cents.
That said, thank you for what you're doing with this league because that's been nothing going on with the football Sim for a while and it's great to have a league again. I look forward to the next draft and being able to correct my roster mistakes from last time.

Thanks for the feedback rjk. All of these changes were suggested on either the league page or posted on the draft commentary thread. Being season 2, we had to revise the lessons learned on the bubble. The banned round could make this super interesting in that we will not see a similar 1st round of picks each draft. And we get to dig deeper into the inventory. My initial ban one pick one proposal was not received very well. Hahaha. I’m also fine with the traditional snake draft, but this may spread out the fight for the top tier in the draft election.

As you stated, we all have to meet the same salary cap. Same live draft roster requirements. And we know who is in our division and conference before any selections are made.

Amazing year you had with Favre! He was a top MVP guy and I think he led in TD passes, but doesn’t make the Pro Bowl!? WTF. Speaking of, I haven’t watched a Pro Bowl in about 40 years. None of the all star games are good in any sport!
