Then copy the web address listed and then paste it into the new web query and then click 'Go'. The ratings page should show up, after that just click import and the ratings info should fit into excel. You can update the info by going to the 'Data' button and click on 'Refresh Data'.

That's a way to put all the info in easier.

I think the posters above were specifically talking about importing recruits. The best method I've found is to copy and paste. If you have a better way, please advise.

Cable is good. Spreadsheets for GD are completely unnecessary. That's where your analogy falls short.

If you can't look at 5 running backs and determine which guy is best suited for your offense, you can't assign arbitrary values and accurately figure it out either.

For some reason, folks assume that slapping a number on top of the existing numbers makes the process more objective. I disagree. That's what makes the game fun. You have your methods and I have mine.

Good luck!

I am am with the eyeball method. Ddingo hit the nail on the head. I look at the guys numbers see which one I like, and I try to sign him. I think it has served me well.

I do both, I put everyone in my spreadsheet and then run my ratings system on them. I put a lot of stock in my ratings system but for every player on my roster or that I could potentially recruit I examine by hand. I feel like doing it both ways gives me the best success rate.

ddingo......."Cable is good"? Very thought provoking. If you guys are so pro "eyeball" why waste time on a topic entitled "I have an Excel spreadsheet"?
