I hate to give up Montero.  I think he's going to be a fantastic BL hitter.   But he's not a C or a 1B.   The Yanks have plenty of guys who'll need to DH.  Getting a 23 y/o BL pitcher for him works.

I think his stats are LA-inflated but it gives the Yanks some options now.  CC, Pineda, Nova, Kuroda, Hughes and Burnett.   One can go to the bullpen.  And that's a good thing.   I think Joba is destined for the pen also.

Better than Miami.  Being outcoached by Belicheck twice a year would have sucked for him.

That's funny.  The NFL Network had the game on last summer and I watched it.   Got ****** and turned it off as soon as that play happened.  Like I didn't know it was going to happen.

I don't know.  There have been some pretty horrible ones.   The guy who owned(maybe still does) comes to mind.  Some owners want to own sports teams.  Some want to own businesses.   When business is the priority, they're not going to be "good" owners from a fan's perspective.

Will the Yankees make a move on Prince Fielder now that Montero has been traded?

It seems they have a need for a DH now.   I'm sure Boras still wants 1B-type money and 8-10 years of it.   I don't see the Yanks involving themselves in that.   But, if the best Fielder is getting offered is something like 5/90, the Yanks might beat that.
