I overpaid no one, had a far more depleted ML roster when the offseason started (like 5 ML guys to start), traded barely any prospects, accrued a crap ton of picks, have budget distributed in an effective manner and am not that far off of moy in the talent department.  He has a great 1-3 rotation, but mine is serviceable and his has almost no power on offense.

I am not trying to toot my own horn here.  TM had an amazing offseason, gin had a great offseason (though he really threw a ton of money around, he actually has some decent distribution in the budget), BLE, cheez, tlak and others also had really great offseasons...  that is just off the top of my head, I am sure there are others...  and none of them did it in a retarded fashion.

I'm keeping this one for posterity.

I really think I'm going to like the Newhan/Lee/Roosevelt three-headed monster at the front of the rotation, even if it is only a one year engagement.
Yeah.  You are going to have a nice team.

there are some players who are worth paying any price to go out and get, a lot of them were available in this offseason, Im not sure that Elcano was one of them, and Im not sure that hes good enough to put anyone in Moys position "over the top", especially with Scottsdale, San Antonio, and a retooled Montreal there.  If he had all that money left after losing other FA battles, im not sure what else he shouldve done with it.  He will be feeling the effects of it in future seasons
Kansas City...
Nothing new...  KC is strong and built well.

I'm working on the power department. Gin and I put together some solid 3-team deals to get me a power hitting 1b but couldn't find a taker in minky or freegs. I ended up getting serviceable 2-yr contract in Chris offerman from gin for bud lee and departing fa victor cora to replace poor Hootie. I also tried for Kelly Payne but that is over as of this morning....both sides being too far apart. if no other moves occur I like my team. I bettered my 3 and 5 pitchers, added elcano to replace bud lee, and increased 1b production with offerman. My bench is much better as well.
Here's the problem with that analysis - it looks at your team in a vacuum. This was an epic FA class. There was a ton of talent that changed hands this offseason, and while you may have spent like your chief competitors, I think you might find that you basically stood still while a couple of them took big steps forward.

Of course, we'll find out soon enough.

I thik my team will be good, but I think that every year. I return all my important pitchers, and shored up the bullpen. Had the 2nd best era last year. Improved my offense through FA and with young guys improbving. That said, Im probably still looking at 90 wins tops.

uskerman, your WS prize was mailed this morning.
Oh.  Sick.

You probably could have mailed it before season one started though...

True. That's a concern. Did I improve enough? Hell... even Honolulu looks tough this season.

We have agreed on far too much lately.

Something is amiss.

r0b0t and gin made a place where we can mock each other....there is no shtick here.

Easily the best and deepest pitching staff I've ever had. Wish I had one more centerpiece type player on offense, but that's my only complaint, and I still think the offense will be fine.

I think we're looking at needing a major re-shuffle in about 2 seasons though.
