Good luck with that. Trump will be a politician for 4-8 years. Career politicians in the House and Senate aren't going to line up to support Trump if it hurts THEIR political career. What Trump lacks is the experience to get them to think will be good for them so they fall in line.
How soon you have forgotten the MOVEMENT you've just witnessed it. Trump is appealing to the masses, not the nobles - this is not new if you've ever read Machiavelli. You won't see Trump moving on an issue that isn't a popular issue.... watch. He will sway popular opinion on specific issues to bring the politicians to heel (because their constituents want the change).... and he will continue to control the media, even moreso now that he can cut them out if he doesn't like the message. How easy would it be to remind the masses that 70% of the nation thinks washington is broken and corrupt... and that Trump is the change agent pushing what 'the people' want?

Some of the issues: Chris Matthews the other night told Rachel Maddow that Securing the Borders is an 80% issue, everyone wants secure borders on both sides. Trump will stick with repealing Obamacare... it's unpopular and maybe a 70/30 issue. He'll reduce taxes for everyone.. people love more money. You'll see a Reagan like boom after the initial market aftershocks. Wall St is already liking his repatriation holiday. Trump is a master negotiator ---- he is two or three steps ahead of you, you just don't know it, nor did the media, the dems, and the republicans. They still don't know it (they still think he's a crazed idiot - yet he continues to beat them).

You do recognize that Hillary got more votes, right? And that people are rioting due to the election of Trump, right? He is NOT popular.

Sure, he'll be able to move on items that the public wants. Secure borders? OK. Stop Muslims from entering the country? Uh, no. Repeal and replace Obamacare? Yep. Remove birth control from insurance? Unlikely.

Trump is not going to wave a magic wand and the House/Senate just do what he wants. He might make Cruz look popular at some point.

If the Republicans in the house and senate don't comply they can kiss away the gains trump made on the electoral map. Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin.... They could just be that dumb. I bet you that Trump works with Bernie on trade reform and campaign finance reform.... At least enough to appeal to those voters in four more years.

As for protests... Liberals protested wall st with occupy Wall st. And Wall st is just fine. Then they protested Scott Walker for months on end and Walker is just fine (and Wisconsin turned red). Then they protested with black lives matter and now we have a law & order candidate where for the first time ever the police union backed a Republican. These protests are are just a nuisance... people will tune them out especially as they continue to break stuff that's not theirs.

What trump needs to do is give the Republicans a spinal cord implant so they have a backbone to withstand these tactics from the left. In the end, when the Republicans don't cave, it's the protesters that look stupid and go away.

I only brought up the protests/riots to make the point that Trump is not popular. I don't recall any other protest after a Prez was elected.

And I'm not sure I'd give Trump props for the re-election/election of Repubs in House/Senate. Unless you have some data that suggests he did have a positive impact on their elections.

i find it funny how the left has leached onto the word repeal and now somehow Obama has convinced trump thru his magnetism to keep parts of Obamacare to preserve his legacy. what a joke trump has always said REPEAL AND REPLACE he has never intended to abandon the American public on health insurance only to stop the drain on the government budget
