I'm remarkably fit right now.  Joined a new gym on 12/17(gave up my meathead gym), changed my routine and my body hasn't broken down like it normally does once a month.   Never been wrinkly so I'm not there yet.   But you got me with grey.   I'm seriously considering a buzzcut just so it looks less grey. 

If cold, wet dirt is troublesome, I'm quite sure ice is worse.

Burlington is a heavy pitcher's park, Pawtucket is a slight pitcher's park and Arizona leans towards hitters.    He lost a lot of ratings from his Burlington days and moved to a hitter's park after an off-season in Pawtucket.   He's not as bad as his stats indicate but I get the feeling he's not nearly as good as you expect him to be.  

My philosophy in HBD has been completely against signing Type A free agents because in my early years they completely failed me.  I am re-thinking this currently because my team in Joey Belle won the division last season and the biggest weakness was a lack of power at 3B. 

I believe I can compete for the pennant if I sign the biggest prize in free agency (name withheld) but since I have the 20th pick, I am hesitant to do so.  Should I throw caution to the wind and go for it?

You can do one of two things well or both of them half ***.   You can try to win now or you can collect draft picks.   It's hard to collect high draft picks and win a bunch of games.  It can't be done.   If you have the horses to make a run except for one glaring weakness, fill that void and say "Screw the 20th pick".   I'm actually in the same boat in Coop.  I had 25th pick and needed a 3B.   Had there been a good one, I'd have signed him without hesistation.  There wasn't so I have the 25h pick and a glaring weakness.

Two cycles left before the signing period ends, what can I do at this point? Make my best offer and hope I overtake the leader? Sign other guys and not leave all the money on the table?

Make an offer you're comfortable with.   If it's too low, it wasn't meant to be.

I've offered more than I should, now it is wait and see until 3:15 or 7:15 tonight.  Is it reasonable to commit so much loot to one player? What if this guy turns out to be A-Roid after signing his last deal?

I've signed guys to 16-19m when I thought I never would.    They've done the job I needed done.

Yes.  Your advice("All the Hollywood guys have giant heads and little bodies!!") isn't exactly what I followed.   I just went from 95/5 weights/cardio to 50/50.  I didn't get smaller just more defined.
