As feared, Suppan has been named the #5 starter and will probably start next week in Chicago. Macha, after saying all spring that it didn't matter, is now looking to split up the ies in the rotation (Wolf/Davis, currently pitching on consecutive days).

From what I read, it seems like splitting up the ies had to do more with the catching situation than the pitching situation. Macha wants Kottoras to catch at least one of the ies, and he doesn't want Zaun being forced to always catch 3 or 4 games in a row. Or something like that.

2011: $3.25 million
2012: $5.5 million
2013: $7.75 million
2014: $11.25 million

option for 2015: $13 million with a $600,000 buyout
