It depends on which ratings are his "good" ratings. 30 year olds are likely to lose some "physical" skills(and he's probably already lost a point or two because he wasn't on a roster to start the season). This may cause him to lose his Type B designation.

His contract demands will be based on his ratings. What he makes this season will not matter.

How do you explain me signing a 32-year old last season for 680K after the season started, his "demanding" a one-year, $680K contract for the current season, and his demands to extend his current contract being a two-year deal for $3.7M per?

After the season started. Players lower their demands when they're not signed. Liken it to the AAA guy making 55k and then demanding 4.5m after not being kept on the 40.
