Well as long as the Cheaters are okay with the hit, that's fine - still the problem of where to find the players. They have talked before of adding position players to the Tryout Camp. Perfect time to try that.

This can be done using one of Mike's tested theories - the FA unsigned at the start of ST with remaining options.

Actually I just brought this up in TC. 87 players under contract. Cutting 34 leaves them with 53. That leaves three levels to fill. That's a bit of a problem. I'm not sticking around so I shouldn't care. But, if you destroy the franchise's minor league system, it's going to be tough for the next guy. He may not care, the BL team will be good for a long time, but signing unsigned FA after FA ends leaves a void for next season.

Wait, your entire league has been spouting off about how this is all for the good of the league and not about acquiring stud players.

So, here then is the question: if they'd all do 3-1 deals to acquire stud talent, why won't they do 3-1 deals with the Charleston franchise after the studs are retired? Deal simply involving each franchise giving up 2 or 3 MiL filler type of players in exchange for 1 MiL filler player from Charleston? This would refill those rosters quickly and spread the burdin.

So, Ltbolt and everyone else n Foxx, why not step up and offer this?

No one has thought about it because greed and mob-mentality is the motivation. "I WANT MINE!!!" and "LET'S TEAR DOWN THAT TEAM!!!" are the dual focus points.

Good of the league? No, this was always about making MY franchise better. :)

Actually, though, I'd be willing to pitch in and help restock the Charleston minor leagues if they do kill off all these prospects.

Yeah that would be fine too...I don't know why anyone would have a problem win that, although I don't think if every owner did a three for one That that would fix the situation, would it Mike? I know it certainly gets it closer to being better but whoever takes over will still need to make roughly one full team worth of signings right?

If two of the three were position players, it would. Training camp pitchers are available all the time.

Trop, all thise posts say that you're talking about 34 players. So if every owner does a 3 for 1 with MikeT, that would increase his rosters by 62 players. That leaves him 28 players ahead of where he is now. He'd not only fix the problem but he'd better off than he is now.
