Sure.   Our gators are in hiding after my last attempt to catch one.  I needs me a good gator story.  In question form, of course.

The gator I saw was behind glass at the zoo. He(she?) was about three feet long and very skinny. Do you think I could have taken him? (her?)

I would think so.  That's the same size as the only one I've seen for two weeks.  I'm not even fooling with him(because they're too fast.  The bigger ones are slower).

If a team grabs a rule 5 guy off waivers after he has been offered back to his original team and turned down does he need to go on the 40 man  roster of the team claming him off waivers?

Absolutely.  And the 25 man roster.   Only after he clears waivers can he be sent to the minors and removed from the 40.

Your opinion, chosing 10 players in the Rule 5 draft, then offering 8 choices back, ethical to inflict a quarter million extra salary on the team that developed the player when you were not going to retain the players in the first place?

If the player is never placed on the drafting team's BL roster, salary reverts back to minor league salary.   I can see the strategy behind it(maybe the team won't take the players back because of the cost) but 10 seems a bit extreme.  Especially if they're all from one team.

Not all from the same team, but immediately after the draft, they are on the waiver wire. Does the game have a flaw if the salary is the big league salary after being drafted through Rule 5?
