You're welcome, uskerman.
For what?
Another draft pick - I just added Wilson Byrne to my bench.
He's still alive?

Looking at the top fielding % in HR and the records of those teams there is definitely a coorelation between defense and wins
This was discussed a few weeks ago when I was all happy about signing two gold glovers.

And well, apparently, at least through last season. .292/.367/.453

I may wind up being the one who gets to pay his corpse, but for a million bucks and a bench spot, it was worth a shot.

Pretty **** poor sample size.  Look at the last couple of seasons and rethink.

Prime Time Bryne was a favorite of mine during my lone WS appearance.  Too bad I faced the juggernaut in Montreal.

I contributed to the discussion - or at least posted nonsensical info on the subject. Just pointing out that its the case again in HR

Shut up moy.
I'm surprised you didn't speak up when I posted I have a trade prop out there that will seriously hurt my $ team this season. I figured you'd jump all over that. whats happened to you?

I have been below average on D for a couple of seasons in HR and have done extremely well.  If I remember correctly, I think dherz was pretty shoddy on D last season as well.  1st and 2nd best records in the AL.

It struck me as too good to be true.

That being said, anything works if you focus on it, build it intelligently, and still function in the other areas.  Chuck Briese has done awesome with a defensive mindset, vandydave has done well and abandoned D.  Wins are not tied to one specific thing.

My HR team is really all about offense, but I dont know that my defense is "shoddy", though I've also not looked at the stats.  I'm generally comfortable with Rincon in Center, and not sure that my middle infield is terrible
