Does Tom Brady have the balls to tell Gisele that she needs to STFU?

I bet Gay Talk is cheaper and they'll help you redecorate while fixing your hair.

I'm almost positive he does not or you wouldn't be asking that question.

I've seen 24 y/o before.

Lead my division by 4 games, been offered a 32 stud closer (all nothing less than 79 and 3 90's except P2 which is 64)  29/71 Sta/dur.  Locked up for the next 5 years for more money than I would have given him, but nothing I can't handle for my 21 yo CF with elite range to go along with otherwise unremarkable defense.  His bat is Jimmy Rollinsish .280 ba, .340 OBP (75 BE); 15-20 HR's (65 power), and 30-40 SB's (85/84).  I can spare the bat without missing a beat, and the closer would have the best arm on my staff, but its young and cheap for old expensive.  Do the deal?  I think so, but I trust your judgement.

Back to the NFL HOF debate:

If Bob Hayes and Lynn Swann are in, how can Cliff Branch not be?

Years  Rec       Yards      Average        TD       Long     SB Rings

Bob Hayes   11       371        7414         20.0          68         95            2

Lynn Swann  9       336        5462          16.3          51         68            4

Cliff Branch   13      501        8685         17.3           67        99            3

Branch has more catches and yards than both, a better per-catch average than Swann, more TD's than Swann, and more rings than Hayes.

Is Branch a HOF player or not?

So much of it depends on the stuff I don't have.   The pitcher will be fine for the duration of the contract(assuming a decent amount on training).   Elite range and a 65 glove isn't so great.  Not horrible but not great.  If he has 90 range/80 glove and can product those offensive numbers(he could steal more), he's an all-star for the next 10 seasons.  I'd put the two players on a similar level.  So it really comes down to the replacements.  If I needed 110 killer innings, I'd take the pitcher.  If I wanted GG D with pretty damn good O, I'd keep the CF.   Since it's your team and you like the deal, my guess is you value the 550 innings over the next 5 seasons more.  I don't think you lose the deal.

Bob Hayes was the fastest man in the NFL during his era.  That carried some weight back in the day.  Lynn Swann is in due to his playoff production.    I just don't think Branch carried the same "name recognition" as either of them back in their playing days.    I like Branch.  He was one of my favorite Raiders.  But he just doesn't scream "HOF!!!" to me.

Are Eli and Coughlin Hall of Famers? They both have won two Super Bowls. If they are in based on that criteria, shouldn't Flores and Plunkett?
2/7/2012 7:41 AM
The Rams had an offensive explosion under Martz/Warner.   Knowing that they had Eric Dickerson before that, it's not that surprising.

Eli has an unfinished body of work.   I think I'd hold off on the yellow jacket for him.   I don't think Coughlin is a HOFer.    He's .500 or less in 7 of his 16 seasons.

Well it seems like the press has already called for their yellow jackets, does it not?

I think the media tends to react to the moment.   The media is also acting as if Brady's legacy took a big hit with the loss.

Just how personally offended is EasyE7 about these perceived HOF snubs?
2/7/2012 1:15 PM
I think he's a misguided Raiders fan.    Plunkett resurrected his career in Oakland but still, overall, did not have stats that could even be considered HOF-like.  Flores was pretty good in Oakland but he always struck me as Al's "Yes man".    His time in Seattle might confirm that he wasn't the brains of the operation.  I could somewhat see Branch as a HOFer but it doesn't make me lose sleep because he isn't.  There's nothing in his stats that jump out at you.

Why is Joe Namath in the HOF? His numbers are worse than Plunkett and he only won 1 SuperBowl.
