TEXAS is reopening - imo too soon
but in a seemingly responsible way with a thoughtful process.
i like the process and they are testing more then most states but i think they are a few weeks too soon.

still a very very stark contrast to georgia which is going to see a surge.

On Monday in a teleconference call with the governors of the country, Trump urged the governors to reopen the schools. This is unbelievable. How in the world can we have another four years of such deranged judgment. No compassion, no empathy, no concern for the health of people especially. Even children who can spread it to their parents....anyone with half a brain knows kids are not likely to social distance or keep their masks on all the time or wash their hands enough....

Tuesdays have shown a spike pretty much every week. (at least back through March 31st.) Seems plain it is likely a reporting / weekend back up artifact. That doesn't change the fact that the numbers aren't as good as might be hoped.

I think you are correct Sunday does seem less but this Monday was lower then in several weeks but I think I agree with you.

by the way unless you are maybe wearing a true surgical mask most scientists believe you can spread the virus wearing a mask and get it. Thus the constant necessity for real distancing and washing hands.

you can be shot - with something - if you do not comply.
so mike pence refused to wear a mask and was the only one in the entire facility walking among doctors and patients -
2 high risk groups i might add.
pence pertly explained that since he is always tested he does not have it so there was no reason to wear a mask - yes he said that - i.e He cant give it to the infected people he was meeting so why wear a mask.
so comforting to have such a talented mind advising the nation about the virus each day...he is second only to trump.

You do realize that if you don't have an N95 mask it does next to nothing to prevent you from getting sick, right?

firstly mice president pence of course could have any mask available...no issue there.
i have read up on this and it is true that other masks are less effective but not ineffective.
