I'm not very interested in the smells that emit from my *** so I could have answered "no" to both.    But I am a bit disturbed.

If a player is able to be re-signed long term in season, do you sign him that season or wait until the next season?  Do players go from "Im willing to stay just pay me" to "Im leaving no matter what?"  Or are their intentions usually the same from one year to the next?  I guess I never have any players worth re-signing or I would know better.

Depends on their age.   If they're on the downside of their career, I'll wait to rollover.   If they're stagnant or still improving, do it after the season because they may refuse to sign after rollover.   Yes, I've seen players refuse to sign in season and then sign the following season.  And vice versa.

I wouldn't carry just one catcher.   But, if that's my only option, Simas.    He'll be 100% longer.   I'd find a C who can hit righties a little bit and carry 2.
