meh. fighting's not really my thing. it's usually just between a couple of goons. when iggy drops the gloves, it's exciting and because of the emotion of the play. most fights now days are just staged and mean absolutely nothing. now don't get me wrong, i don't thing fighting should be taken out of the game or anything. i just think two goons dropping the gloves two minutes into the first period on teams that haven't even seen each other in almost a year is ridiculous. (first meeting between calgary and vancouver this year). i believe in Engelland's case, he was jumping in to protect crosby or somebody, which isn't as bad, but i still don't think any player needs to be "protected". i may call crosby the kid still, but he's a big enough guy that he can stand up for himself if he needs to. :>
