OK, I have read through all of the pages here back to about page 38 and have been asked by a few to respond..so....
1) I created UNO and ran the past 7 years of it, all of them with little to no problems, although there were a few along the way. When UNO 8 was created, at that time, my work schedule and family schedule was not so tight, but at the time, leagues were not filling very fast. So instead of having 24 guys in flux, bastanredsox came to me and asked to run it, I allowed him to and create the league, it was only fair to everyone here.
2) This by far the hardest draft to run and keep updated--I feel that bastan has done a fine job being first time he has done it. I plan on posting another UNO after the first of the year when my life schedule will be getting back to normal thankfully and running it, taking most, if not all of the ideas I have seen from several of you during this draft.
3) The issues of site mails has always been a problem with most drafts in the live community. I see both sides of it really, but it is more intended to be a tool to keep drafts running smoothly and keep guys alert. I personally just like seeing that green envelope flashing when I come on here to remind me.
4) Jgreene is by far one of the most loyal owners I have played with through the years here..he has been in every one of my drafts that I can remember, it is a shame that he will not be around for this.
5) Most of these problems are very minor and could have been solved without pointing fingers and name calling--it kinda makes me happy that I have not been around for awhile. Cluttering the UNO forum with pictures and unnecessary jokes just makes this draft that much harder to follow--I have had one heck of a time keeping track of picks with all of the nonsense in between.
In the end, it is just a shame that this always seems to happen. I have played and talked with almost all of you through the years and enjoyed having you guys in my drafts. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, whether right or wrong....I see both sides here...bastan has done the best job he could and I really have no complaints with him, I also see jgreene's side of it as well...These are surely issues that can be worked out and included in the rules for the next UNO..and as always, I hope most, if not all of you, come back to join us.
