That seems kind of early to be losing range but he won't be a 2B(75 range is pretty much my floor) by the 3rd year of that 4 year deal.    So he'd become a LF that doesn't hit like a LF for 6.7m for 2 seasons.  I'd arb him, let him got to FA, hope for a comp pick and, if not, sign him at a much more reasonable number at the end of FA.

What action is worse?  Removing an owner for failing to win .250 during a season or removing a commissioner in retaliation for having said owner removed?

I know what you're talking about.  I think you know I wouldn't have any issue with removing a guy who loses 120.

Well, the commish is trying to stop it from being one but he's not have much success.   "Yeah, he lost 120 but he's a nice guy!!!"

He was below the .250 mark for quite some time during the season.   WifS would not remove him then.  WifS is a bit wishy-washy about removing owners.

Yeah, I'm familiar with the situation.    And, yes, I'd want him out.

i always read 'let me run my team the way i want' as 'i like to tank, why can't i do that?'. is that how you read it too?

Not necessarily.   It's more "I might be a dumbass but I paid my $25 and I don't care what anyone thinks about how I do things.  I play in a vacuum and what I do doesn't affect 31 other people who also paid $25!!!!"

Yes.  And God would smite down the non-believers.   Or flood their backyards.
