No, like most people, I've been all over the place politically.  And, like most politicians, I want what's best for me and mine.  
No, I'd never get enough votes for anything.   The conservatives would hate me because I'm pro-choice.   The liberals would hate me because I'm anti-socialism.  The poor would hate me because I'd say "Get up and find a job.  Or get an education then find a job."   The rich would hate me because I'd say "Stop going to India for all your cheap labor."    The unemployed would hate me because I'd say "They're going to India for cheap labor because you bastards think you should make $20 an hour for a job an imbecile could do."   College grads would hate me because I'd say "Your damn degree doesn't mean you get to run the company on your second day.  Now sort some mail!!"  And I'd have no problem telling everyone to **** in a cup if they want a job.   And so on.

Nope.  I just think people should earn what they get.   If you want to sit around and smoke dope all day, good for you.  Knock yourself out.  Hell, I might do that one day.   Just don't ask me for a job or an unemployment check if you're a stoner(or a junkie).
