Pens Thread: Go Pens Go! Topic

Man, sure is a different team without Sid. I really thought Geno would step up again like he did before, but he looks like he is just not interested anymore. I've never seen so many lousy passes from one player before in my life!

He can't handle the tougher minutes, when he draws an opponents top D pair.

As good as a player Geno can be, they should really be trying to move him while he's worth some quality player(s) in a trade. Iginla would look real good in a Penguins jersey, as much as I would hate to have Geno in the Nucks division.

Wow, that's a pretty big idea.  And new Flame GM is looking to move Iginla, no?

But not sure how to make that work.  Flames are probably looking for multiple players and picks, and the Pens would certainly want a package for Malkin.

Malkin would have to be the better end of a 1-for-1 at this point given the age difference, no?

Probably not a good fit despite the temptation of it.

Definatly Geno would be the better end. It would be a hard deal to do though,you're right. Iginla deserves to go some where like Pittsburgh though. In all reality I would rather see Geno get off his butt and play to his potential. He should assume the role as offensive leader in Sids absence.

Nice to see the boys shoot the puck on the pp and have some guys in front of the net.  I can't remember the last game where the pp looked as good. Should have had 5 pp goals if Letang wouldn't have hit the post!

If the Flames try and trade Iginla away for anything less than a future 1st round pick from a really crappy team, i will personally go straight to the Saddledome and go postal.

he's been doing that every game i watch.  i can't stand the way he just throws the puck around blindly.  occasionally it ends up being a miraculous pass, but usually it's just a turnover.  that's one of his biggest faults.  his other being that as you mentioned he doesn't always seem to be interested in the game.  :>

and in other news, i forgot that the steelers game might have been on today instead of tomorrow.  i kept telling myself to check when it was, but by the time i got home, i forgot.  the bad news is i missed the game.  the good news is that they won, so i can still watch a playoff game next week.  :>

You missed a good one Mike. The Pens got some payback against the B's earlier, then the Steelers came back tonight in the 2nd half. Great day for the 'Burgh!!!

UGLY last night. Geez, I'd rather watch paint dry than a Devils hockey game!

that's why i'd take ben over payton or tom any day.  he may not be quite as good a passer, but he's a better QB, IMO.  three rushes for a first down, one for a TD.  STEELERS are going to the superbowl again!  :>

in hockey news though, what's the word on crosby?  do they know when he might be back yet?  chuck?  kid?  anyone?  i haven't heard anything myself.  :{

and i didn't realize malkin was out too.  been busy this week.  what's the word on him?  :{
