You didn't get raped but in my opinion you gave up more than you got back.  But it depends on what stage of the process you were in.

I honestly don't really put the same emphasis on short relievers in trade negotiations. I obviously care about them because I draft them and tend to bump them appropriately up my draft board, but I tend to stockpile them so I have some expendable to top off an offer.

And I guess I just like Swindell more than Taylor.

I think it was fair. And I had made it publicly known that anyone with similar players could get a similar package. I still have some pieces if someone else is interested, but I felt I took a position of strength to improve a position of weakness.

It is pretty sick, but the year is not over. The complete games is the most amazing part of what he's doing.

He was 22-3 on that crappy Cleveland team. His era is a bit better this year. But he is only 9-4. The record isnt his fault--He is pitching comparably to how he did in Cleveland when he won the Cy Young.
