Get well Kimmo.....

Yeah, after the initial shock all I can say is get well Kimmo. On top of being out best Dman he also seems like a great guy and blood clots are no joke.

If I thought he could handle the minutes at this point I'd seriously think about putting Kapanen back there. With the pairing I see Stevens will almost have to forbid Smith, Hatcher and Modry from crossing the red line when the Pens first two lines are out there.

Wow, the more I think about it (obsess more like) the more I realize that our hopes for this series rest on Randy Jones. If any single player has to have the heroic R.J. Umberger step up to his game it's Jones. He's still prone to mistakes but he has been quick, aware and skilled enough to recover from them pretty well. Stevens is gonna have to adjust Jones role, eliminate most of the mistakes and get 20 rock solid minutes out of him a night (no comments WIG). I'm not very confident having to count on this but it's all I've got.

Don't think there is anyway to feel confident.

I feel better after hearing Jim Jackson on the radio this morning...he's feeling good about this team. He thinks it's a team that wasn't just relying on Kimmo, that we have other things going for us like...veteran players, new kids who have really stepped up, Marty and defensive guy who will step up because we need them to!
