I vote no DH since 19 out of 24 teams come from years before the DH.

Milwaukee Braves selects Ernie Banks.

We also vote "No" on the DH.

I had said "prefer not but no major objection" meaning I certainly wouldn't withdraw, but please count that as a no vote

Duke Snider--OF

I'm OK with a DH but not sure it should be added now.

I vote no for dh.

DH probably helps me more than anyone. I will vote yes.

However, I think we need at least 13 yes votes for such a major rules change.

there's nobody between me that can draft the player i want, when my turn rolls around, can someone officially select Mariano Rivera - Greatest Closer of All Time for my Braves?

They are by no means blacklisted and will be eligible to draft. so once John McGraw retires/not needed by owner he will be able to be drafted by you in the 1895 season since he retired in 1903 and not available for the team drafting in 1903.
For example, say I cut Alex Rodriguez after this year. His year would be 1999. Would he go through his career progression just like a regular progressive league? Since there are no owners playing in the same year as me no one can take A-Rod. The 95 Braves (would then be in 96) wouldn't be able to pick him up and start using him in 1996. Correct?

I vote NO on DH. I think it's better for the league not to have it. Lineups are already stacked enough. If teams start having good players that can't play every day, that promotes more trading and keeps the league more lively.

From what I understand if you cut ARod he goes into the pool and is eligible for drafting by anybody that is currently drafting for a year that he played. So if you cut him in 1999 he is eligible for drafting by the Braves (and would start with the team for his 1996 year.) Individual players don't progress one year at a time unless they are on someone's roster. That would be a pain to track otherwise.

I initially said that I don't mind either way, but the more I think about it I vote no for DH. Real teams let the pitcher bat!!
