well he was a three term state senator and a U.S. senator, however briefly, and she hadn't made it through her first term as governor either (although she did have other experience as has been noted)...i guess i believe that there are myriad qualities necessary to be president with experience being only one of them

O Wise One,

If you are all-knowing, all-understanding and omnipotent in your cerebral pursuits, can you create a question so difficult, so unknowable, that you yourself cannot answer it?
12/4/2009 12:44 AM
No. but you need not go that far. Although I am fairly proud of the breadth of my knowledge I am not a super genius. I am sure there are Teachers at the Elementary School I vote at that could ask a question I could not answer. I always assume that Stephen Hawking would have more trouble asking me a question I could answer.

I am not perfect, just better than most, in my bloated egotistical opinion.

DUDE!!! That's what I was thinking too.
Well, maybe not that exact model but a Craftsman
If the 88957 is in your price range do it. I used it at a demo and it was sweet.

It seems the model numbers I see in Consumer Reports or whatnot never match the numbers on Sears' website.

I think the Troy-Built is essentially the same thing but we don't have many Lowes around here.

Plus, he's a lawyer from the best law school at the nation which he ran, so he understands how to structure policy.

I don't think running a state of 1000 people (995 men) after going to beauty pageants really makes her qualified to even mouthbreathe.

And there's a valid concern about her qualifications because the right murdered Obama for his, then brought their own in. Plus, as we all know, McCain is old as s. And there's no way I want another psychopathic, moronic, extreme right winger attempting to make policy and show off weapons to the rest of the world.

CLOSED.

CLOSED...What do you think this is, a global warming debate??

She ran a state, the Alskan Energy Commission and a City. Obama never ran the School.

And in your opinion being a lawyer gives you policy structure knowledge?? Next time we have a mid-east problem we can consult that guy in the Mall.

You supported Obama on the promise that his life-experience and values would make him a good President. People are supporting Palin for the same resons.

Even you have to admit Palin got screwed by the media. Nothing about her treatment was fair.
12/4/2009 3:10 PM
The media treatment of Palin was probably a factor in keeping her out of office in Washington, DC. For that the media deserves a Nobel Peace prize. Tina Fey would be my nominee to accept it.

A lot of it probably wasn't fair, but you can't deny that she walked into a lot of the scrutiny herself.

And on your other point, Obama was a teacher of constitutional law...I think that's sufficient justification to say that he knows a little bit about how the Federal government works and knows a little policy. You can't use the analogy of the lawyer in the mall.
