There's going to be some pretty heavy matchups in Pool A the rest of the way. although on paper it looks like this season's champion will likely come from Pool A, its possible that a team running the table out in Pool B could get lucky if we all beat each other up.

Thanks andersaa. I don't know exactly why, but the other night I was surfing through the site looking back at some prior forum threads looking for an answer to a question and came across some of the earlier Shootout threads and was amused looking back at past results. The idea just popped into my head that besides the Wall of Champions, it might be interesting to put together a composite historical list of the Shootout teams.

Your game with Rockford in NC Game #1 is not part of the published Shootout schedule, so it does not count in the standings.

That being said, the scenarions for the Championship are:

Curry controls own destiny.

William Paterson wins with 2 wins + 2 Curry losses.

Eastern is eliminated by virtue of loss to Curry.

Rockford is eliminated by virtue of loss to William Paterson.

Still, if its a tie, I think it woudl be only fair to give it to them since we DO have a head to head game, on the schedule or not.

Well, considering that then, then this is how we'll sort it out counting the Curry v. Rockford game:

If Curry loses to Coast Guard, but beats William Paterson (gives Curry 1 scheduled loss + loss to Rockford), AND William Paterson also loses to Rowan AND Rockford beats Martin Luther, then Rockford will be declared the Champion based on head to head victory against Curry.

If Curry loses to Coast Guard AND William Paterson (3 losses counting Rockford game) AND Willam Paterson beats Rowan, then William Paterson wins Championship based on 1 loss total in Shootout).

If Curry beats Coast Guard but loses to William Paterson (2 losses counting Rockford) AND William Paterson beats Rowan, then William Paterson wins Championship based on head to head victories agains BOTH Curry and Rockford.

If Curry beats BOTH Coast Guard and William Paterson, OR Rockford loses to Martin Luther, this is moot.

I feel like one of the NFL tiebreaker people now . If you feel I missed anything in the scenarios, let me know. And I applaud the sporting gesture towards Rockford. I think that's just another byproduct of the cameraderie that these events can bring the community of coaches.
