There were better options for me at Long A I just wanted to eliminate Pedros great seasons from the league.. He will indeed be my LRP tho

Just so I understand---A player can only be drafted at his primary pos for that season, correct?

I don't think Pujols can be taken in the second round. His primary position was 1B.

From the rules: "For hitters, they must be rated at the Primary Position being drafted in the year you are selecting. They must meet the overall PA/162 requirement. They can play ANY Position when the season starts. If you draft a partial player season to meet a round requirement, you must use that partial. You cannot change to the full season once the draft is complete."

verynice, it would be helpful if the rules were added to the top of the draft thread.

... and Pujols IS RATED at 2B for 2008. Seems to follow to rules to me...

Reading it literally, steve9955 is correct. It just says he has to be rated at the primary position being drafted. As written, the inclusion of the word "primary" makes no sense.

I believe the intent was for it to say "the position being drafted has to be a player's primary position" (or "a player may only be drafted at his primary position"), but that is not what it says.

It is what is meant, we had this debate in the last version also.

That should say they must be drafted at the primary position.

sigh another day goes by and I still cant draft...

I honestly figured that the reason it is written like that (and the mention that a drafted player can play anywhere once the season begins) is so that you could do things like that...

I think it is pretty clear what primary position means. Otherwise, I could have drafted:

Ed Delahanty
Tim Raines
Ty Cobb

Come on guys...you need to search without the secondary position box checked. League isn't as interesting otherwise...

there's a post on one of the earlier pages that says primary position.. Before I made my selections I had this same question and went by that post... otherwise i wouldve taken Delahanty in rd 2
