I'm not sure if this has been said in this thread or anywhere else, but I feel like with the baseline prestiges there should be a scale of "expectation" and therefore increased firings at certain schools. So if you're at an A+ baseline like UNC or Duke, and you don't make the NT in 3 years, you should be fired immediately. Sometimes I feel like there is too much leniency at the top of D1, because with that bonus of baseline prestige there should be more responsibility to win consistently. It doesn't already work like this does it?

back when TK argued some coaches were playing for free i was one of the few coaches who like lost/OR now could claim i was getting away with it. i assure you it would be near impossible for most coaches to pull that off now, or for a sustained period of time. it simply is a baseless argument from wis. now some coaches may have been consistently playing for 50% off or something like that, but not literally free.

mrpolo... why the idea of eliminating FSS at D3? How is that going to be benefitial?

help out the newbs. i think this game is quite complex. not overwhelming, but i think more new players would stick around if FSS was something they learned after they already learned the game. (you learn the game in DIII, you learn FSS in DII, and then you go to DI)

its also something that *could* be taken advantage of by vet coaches in the lower levels. If you really know what your doing, you could make life miserable for a new coach while benefiting yourself.

also if it was eliminated at DIII, you could (and i STRESS COULD) revisit the thought of FREEHD. i think it was successful in certain regards. and might be a possibility if you couldn't use FSS at DIII

also. there might be a large number of users that liked HD prior to FSS. this gives them that option, without really disrupting anything...

so, i'll say it again. . . . .

• Reinstate full reward points across the board
• Eliminate the "consolation" prize after a user has played 10 seasons
• Eliminate FSS at DIII
• Eliminate the outside gift certificates

spike in retention of new customers
spike in profits for WIS

I have only played 8 seasons, all D3, so obviously I didn't play pre-FSS. I have been using it since the second season and don't think it should be difficult for anyone to understand. The only reason I didn't use it the first season was the cost and I had no idea of the benefits of it. I think that it would be a very bad idea to get rid of it at in D3. I only play with one ID and one team with it, however I know that a lot of ppl play with several IDs and several teams per each. If FSS was eliminated in D3, what about the guys that have other IDs with teams at all levels in the same world. They would be able to use FSS with their D2 and D1 teams to the benefit of their D3 teams in the same world. This is going to put new players at an even greater disadvantage IMO.

i actually meant to eliminate potential, not FSS. sorry. players improve how they did before FSS.

i dont think FSS is difficult to understand. But this game is difficult to master. And FSS is a layer of the game that i think should be added on to the experience. Not thrust upon initially.

i think learning the game without potential is more productive to a coaches learning curve.

I just my D2 dynasty (which I thought I'd never leave) in Iba. I've hated this whole diminishing rewards points crap since I started playing. Combined with the garbage that FSS and Potential are, it has taken it's toll. I'll be @ 2 teams, playing off of what's of my rewards points, this weekend. (end of Phelan)

Sorry to hear you want to leave, but I have to ask what corrallation your situation has on new coaches? I'd have to believe that if they reach the point of diminished returns on rewards, they aren't exactly "new" to the system, no?
