for those of you following all this I posted proxies and 2 PEOPLE posted after my time line and I got nothing (and the 2nd of my two picks was taken) - so maybe I should leave you all high and dry in these times of reluctanct owners ( of course I wont)  - proxies work both ways and I posted that I had sent them so maybe you should respect that ****

people who post proxies should not get skipped period end of sentece especially when they post in thread that they have done so

@Captain - sorry man, I was away from teh computer for several hours there.

@felonius - sorry I didn't get to post your proxy, I was away from the computer for several hours there.  Did you send your proxies to the two guys that drafted after you, too?  If so, and one of them took one of your players, then you have the rights to that player IMO.  I know proxying close to the turn sucks (which is why I don't do it unless absolutely necessary)... it stands to reason that when you're that close to the turn you can get both of your players.  Still... not sure why you got skipped.

ash you are not the one at fault - there is a commish and there are the people who picked after my post who should be paying attention to the thread  that should be accountable for this kind of stuff (commish it's a curse not a blessing and I respect that - and you greedy mf-rs after me read the g-damn thread)

no I didnt send extra ideas to the guys who will be picking the next 5 players before i pick again did someone trip and accidentally discharge a shot gun shell into your head recently jackhat?
That's my issue with proxying in the first place.  I will flat out hold up a draft if it means I've got a chance to get two guys and not feel one bit of remorse for it.  It rarely comes to this, though.

What I've started doing, unless I just flat out know I won't be there to make my pick (like today), is I send one proxy with a note attached to the two guys that draft after me, the commish and any other person that's typically glued to this site while they're at work (I work nights, so I'm usually that guy BTW.  Mon & Tues, anyway).

"Hey, in case my slot comes up, I want (insert name here).  If he's already been picked, I'll make the pick myself in a reasonable time frame before my slot is over when I can get to it."

When you can't be there, it sucks having to proxy a list of players, but it's a bullet we all have to bite at some point.  You've always been really good at that though, so don't think I'm even talking like you don't do it.  And typically I am around a lot, so proxying me is typically a good place to go.  So is glen.  I can't believe out of me, Coley & Glen one of us wasn't around before your slot was up.  That's amazing.

edit - I know you're not saying I'm responsible.  I just feel bad when anybody gets skipped, especially if they did send proxies!

wasn't coach victimized the same way in the 52mil league a few days ago? is he one of the culprits now in the 42 mil league? "life's a trip, bro." (bathtub scene in Training Day).

I have multi-screen receivers.

One thing I want to bring up.

The proxies I got from you were Russell and Billups.
Captainzen took Billups.  He drafts before you.
98avg took Garnett (not on your proxy list)
coachcroft took Gilmore (not on your proxy list)

So I'm a little confused how it didn't work out for you.  I realize the point you're making, but you got the #1 guy on your proxy list, and the #2 guy got drafted by someone who would have drafted ahead of you anyway.  This seems more of an issue of 98 being a jerk (let me put on my surprised face for you) and drafting in his time slot even though you had posted multiple people had your proxies.  CC probably gets the smail from 98 saying he's up, comes to here and sees 98's pick and drafts.  I've done teh same thing many times (to not hold up the draft:  rush here, check and make sure my guy hasn't been picked then make the pick before reading all the content in the thread that's not someone drafting a player).

edit:  simultaneous posting ftw

Hey felonius, I know you are a fu*kin noob and all but you might want to fu*kin proxy the guy that picks after you to make sure they don't pick until you get your pick. I waited till past my time and I was worried I was going to get skipped all because you are a fu*kin noob and decided NOT to proxy the guy who picks after you. You think the fu*kin draft will stop on your pick? Then you want to talk chit. Go f*ck yourself noobie.

Just had to get that off my chest....carry on.

yeah as a noob I guess I dont understand why I'd give the guy picking after me any idea of what I wanted (as he gets to pick before me in the next round - there seems to be some kind of what? competitive disadvantage in that approach)  - I guess as a noob I thought that in posting the fact that I had proxied and should not be skipped that it would take a real tool to actually then go ahead and skip me - and I guess I was right
