If you keep throwing him at 0(0), he will get injured. It was a long time ago but I did it with a garbage minor league level with training camp pitchers. I think I had 20something pitcher injuries at that particular level"

I think we finally know who is tanking.
Yep.  I tanked the hell out of that LoA team in Joey Belle back in S2.

Actually, tankerwood, my problem is this:   I like to win but get bored when it's easy.   It's why I don't play in 'tard worlds.   It's why I don't tank my way to three consecutive top 5 picks while signing multiple 20m IFA.   That's too easy.

In truth, I'd rather lose 100 in a competitve world than win 100 in some 'tard world.

I dont think I have ever had 3 consecutive top 5 picks
And I dont play in any 'tard worlds.
And I don't pitch 0(0) guys on purpose at any level.

Tankappotomus.

1. The 49 win season in ABU is the one we have been discussing already.
2. The 39 win season in Mays I took over the abandoned team with under 30 games to go in the season and a team full of 0(0) guys. If you had looked you would have seen the new city and team name the following year.
3. You included my current 55-40 (.579) season in ABU, dumbass. I have a good feeling I will win more than 10 more games this year.
Finally, you included my first two season in my WKRP team, which is well documented in that thread.
Long story short, I have a 63 win season in Moneyball and a 64 win season in FYC that were both lousy (the FYC was my first season in the league too) However, my history clearly shows that other than my current complete disaster in Moneyball, by the second season (other than Addicted Users which took me three) with any new team I am very competitive, winning at least somewhere in the mid-70s.

Oh and if you want to include my 39 win Mays season, you beter include your Harold Reynolds season, thast 62 wins not 65.

Harold Reynolds CH1 Cubbies 5 $74.7M 62-100 (.383) 3 -

So you're saying you've only tanked 2-3 times?     What's that saying?    Suck one **** and you're a ****sucker.   Seems about right.

9/16/2010 4:40 PM
I figured I'd let you explain your Mays season.    I played over .500 after I took over.
9/16/2010 4:41 PM
And what about this one? 36 million? That must be a tanker! If you have spent 70 million more you could have won 87 or 88 and just missed out on the playoffs!

Hamilton KC Swing Kings 6 $36.0M 75-87 (.463) 4

I am saying I had a couple lousy seasons. I am not tanking in Moneyball - I actually made huge mistakes a few seasons back by spending too much on payroll in order to win as many as I can, killed my minors, and now have a complete trash team that is going to be booted from the league atthe end of the season for failure to reach .400. I managed that team very diferently than any others I have had and in the end it cost me so I will live with it.

My Addicted Users teams were so lousy (read my thread if you dont believe me) that the win totals I had those first two seasons while I cleaned up the mess were actually an accomplishment.

No talent, no payroll when I took it.  I tripled the payroll.   I budgeted for FA(80m in payroll).    There just weren't any worth having.

No way was your AU team worse than my HJ team.    There's also a thread if you'd like to read it.  I posted the roster.

This RSF is really making it hard for to find the advice on turning a rebuilding project into a disaster.
