The Bears returned to running the ball with a vengeance today, piling up well over 200 yards on the ground. It was nice to see after the past two weeks for sure. The passing game was scaled back to allow for the backs to thrive and that was a good thing. The run blocking opened some nice holes and the pass blocking was solid at times. Cutler remained upright most of the day and didn't get obliterated.
The bad part was we allowed over 500 yards of offense and were damn lucky Carolina shot themselves in the foot time and again. Cam Newton is the real deal.
Oh yeah, some guy named Hester set an NFL record for career punt returns for TDs with his 11th. Even with every ST coach scheming to stop him, he continues to get it done. Simply amazing.
If we play like we did today against Detroit, we're gonna lose by 40.
